General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will surprise Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) with a new job, so Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) should get nervous over his wife’s dangerous hire. The walls will keep closing in on Nikolas, who’s determined to keep the truth about Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig) shooting under wraps.
However, Shawn is just as determined to make sure the person behind the shooting pays the price. Since Nikolas is guilty, he’ll grow worried when Ava extends a job offer on August 6.
Ava will have a position she feels Shawn is right for – and he could certainly use the work now that he’s out of prison and ready to rebuild his life.
It’s possible Ava will want to replace her current bodyguard, but that guy was actually doing just fine – even if he was a bit conspicuous. Better options might involve Ava’s gallery or Charlie’s Pub.
Since a bunch of art was ruined and the gallery was left looking like a fake blood nightmare zone, Shawn could help fix it up and get it ready to reopen.
Of course, Ava could probably use someone to run Charlie’s Pub for her as well, so GH spoilers suggest Shawn could slide in that spot if that’s what she has in mind.
It’d be a great way to keep Shawn involved in the community and allow him to interact with plenty of people.
Regardless, Ava and Shawn will be too close for comfort as far as Nikolas is concerned. It sounds like this is strictly about the job and nothing more for now.
Even so, that’ll be enough to put Nikolas on edge and make him fear the threat of prison.
Ava and Nikolas may be in the process of getting a divorce, but she’s still his wife for the time being. Nikolas may not like the idea of the man who could sink him getting hired by Ava.
It’ll feel like Shawn’s an ever-present and growing threat in Port Charles, so Nikolas’ problems are only going to get worse from here.
