General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Baby Liam Corbin’s funeral could lead to Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) crumbling over the attempt at closure. Sasha’s about to get hit with a wave of major grief, so we’re bound to see some teary outbursts along the way.
During the week of December 13-17, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will explain the EEG results to Sasha and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor). It’ll be heartbreaking to watch Brando and Sasha go from optimistic to absolutely crushed.
Liam has zero brain function and will have no quality of life if he’s kept on life support. Since Sasha will initially be in denial, Brando will have to step up and help her come to grips with the situation.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will try to help as well, so look for her to pay Sasha another visit and show her support.
This outcome will no doubt leave Carly thinking about when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) believed Jonah aka Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Caleb and Kyler Ends) was dead.
Wiley was thankfully alive and well due to the baby switch, but Michael didn’t know that at the time. He grieved for his baby boy just like any parent who lost a child would.
Jonah had a funeral, so it’s reasonable to think Carly might suggest one for Liam, too. Carly may point out that it helped Michael and the family say goodbye at a difficult time.
After Carly’s visit at GH, Sasha and Brando will try to lift each other up somehow. They’ll have a conversation and work to boost each other’s spirits.
It’s possible Brando and Sasha will agree a funeral for Liam would be a fitting way to remember their son and let him go.
Of course, there’s no guarantee that a funeral will happen since parents don’t always have one when a newborn dies.
It’s all about what Brando and Sasha feel comfortable doing, but it’s worth mentioning the idea since Jonah indeed had a service. Sasha and Brando might also have a funeral after Liam’s officially gone.
There’s even a chance the Corinthos clan could do some sort of joint service for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and little Liam.
Whatever the case, Sasha’s attempt to say farewell to her baby may end in a weepy meltdown. She’ll really struggle in the aftermath of Liam’s death, so she’s bound to crumble and start to spin out.
