General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will find new ways to target Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) family. Sonny may not be in the picture right now, but Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has been handling things her way without him.
Unfortunately, Carly took someone Cyrus truly cares about – and that could prove to be a costly error.
Cyrus was outraged when he learned his mother, Florence Grey (Annie Abbott), had been kidnapped. Although Cyrus will lash out at Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), he may come to realize Carly had a lot more to do with this than he initially suspected.
Cyrus probably thought of Carly more like the dutiful mob wife, so it should surprise him when she realizes she can play dirty.
Of course, two can play at that game! General Hospital spoilers say Cyrus will use some vengeful strategies – and one of them might involve manipulating Ava Jerome Corinthos (Maura West).
During the week of January 11-15, Ava will give Carly quite a shock. Carly will feel blindsided by some news Ava has to offer.
Later, Jason will meet with Cyrus and report back to Carly. There’ll be something that Jason’s certain Cyrus is to blame for. All of this will lead to Carly making a devastating choice, so what does General Hospital have in store?
Here’s how things might play out. Perhaps Cyrus will seek out Ava for a chat about the dangers of his mob war with the Corinthos clan. Cyrus might point out that Ava’s brother, Julian Jerome (William deVry), was caught up in the battle – and now he’s dead.
Maybe Cyrus will suggest it’d be a shame if something happened to that pretty little girl of Ava’s, too.
Ava could find herself fearful for Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) safety, especially once she realizes Sonny’s missing. Cyrus may insist that Sonny’s dead and push Ava to go after custody of Avery before the mob drama escalates any further.
Carly adores her stepdaughter, so Cyrus may feel like it’ll send a clear message if he nudges Ava into taking her away.
This could bring Carly’s devastating choice to give Ava full custody of Avery. If Cyrus is making threats against Avery, Carly might feel she’d be better protected with Ava and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) at Wyndemere. Carly may not put up a fight if she’s the one who’s put Avery in real danger.
Whatever the case, Carly may be forced to say a heartbreaking goodbye to Avery soon enough. This may be the first of many bold moves Cyrus makes against Carly, Jason and the rest of Sonny’s loved ones. Cyrus will be on a mission to get his mother back and make his enemies pay!
