General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) could be gearing up for a forbidden kiss in the new year. Will Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) get betrayed as these former flames heat up again?
It’s obvious Drew still feels something for Sam and perhaps wouldn’t mind giving their romance another shot.
Drew is mostly focused on being a good father to Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri) and rebuilding their connection, but it’s been nice for him to catch up with Sam, too.
GH fans know Sam vowed to help Drew adjust to life back in Port Charles – and so far, Sam’s been living up to that promise. She’s doing her part to make sure Drew has an opportunity to get to know Scout again, so he’s full of gratitude.
Of course, hanging out as a family like this is only going to make Drew’s feelings for Sam grow stronger.
Drew knows Sam is with Dante now and won’t like the idea of rocking the boat, especially since he won’t want to damage his relationship with Sam as co-parents.
Even so, it’ll become more and more of a struggle for Drew to hide how he truly feels.
Likewise, Sam won’t be able to focus on her relationship with Dante as 2022 gets underway. Dante will be off dealing with Corinthos clan drama and could make it easier for Sam to stray.
Naturally, that doesn’t mean Sam and Drew will surrender to their renewed feelings right away. It may be a long time before there’s a “Dream” reunion in the bedroom, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the show starts building to one.
In the meantime, a forbidden kiss would be a nice start!
Drew and Sam may be unable to resist the magnetic pull in the months ahead, so that could lead to some flying sparks and put Sam’s romance with Dante at risk.
