General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) escape could bring more danger since vengeful Peter August (Wes Ramsey) may want the deadly job he ordered finished. GH fans know Peter was behind Drew’s plane crash, which led to his presumed death.
However, Peter’s plot was intercepted according to the latest spoilers. Someone mysterious scooped Drew up out of the ocean and has been holding him hostage at that foreign prison ever since.
Peter wanted Drew dead and gone forever, so it seems someone like Victor Cassadine (last played by Thaao Penghlis) may be behind Drew’s survival and current predicament.
Fortunately, Drew’s going to escape sooner or later – no doubt with a little help from Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco)!
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), Dante Falconeri (Dominic Falconeri) and Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) should all prove helpful in one way or another as well.
Nevertheless, it should be Sam who mostly takes charge and makes this rescue happen.
Drew’s desperate to get out of that cell and get his freedom back in Port Charles.
Of course, we have to wonder if Drew will ever really be free with Peter still on the loose!
Peter previously ordered Drew’s death to make sure he didn’t remember too much and spill Peter’s secrets.
That’s no longer a concern, but that doesn’t mean Drew will just be able to resume his old life back in PC without consequences.
Peter has finally embraced his status as a villain and isn’t fighting his darkest impulses anymore.
Peter genuinely has a blast inflicting pain and causing destruction at this point. That means Peter should have several people on his revenge list when he resurfaces.
There’ll be some easy deadly targets like Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) for his murder attempt and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) for her role in the cover-up.
Drew could land on the revenge list as well since the job remains unfinished.
Peter wanted Drew dead, so he may resolve to make certain it sticks this time!
Although Peter will obviously fail if that happens, Drew’s looming escape could bring a dangerous situation for him and those he loves most.
That includes Sam and Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri) once they enjoy a family reunion with Drew.
