General Hospital Spoilers: Friday, March 26 Recap – Sonny Recruits Nina – Jason's Warm Gesture - Britt & Sam Join Forces

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, March 26, reveals that Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) awoke in lockup and saw Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in a nearby cell. After Jason talked about his arrest for Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder, the guard came to get Taggert for his sentencing hearing.

Taggert felt like Jason needed to be on the outside to deal with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and hoped Jason could get out of there fast. Meanwhile, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) saw an article about Jason’s arrest and headed over to visit him.

Britt scored her way in by posing as Jason’s doctor and claiming she had to do his monthly checkup since he had a head injury.

Once Britt and Jason were alone, she freaked after Jason accused Peter August (Wes Ramsey) of setting him up. Britt argued that Peter was awfully good at that – just ask her mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati)! Jason urged Britt to calm down, but she wanted to take care of him.

Britt pointed out how well she knew Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and argued that Faison had no doubt taught Peter everything he knew.

After Britt suggested she selfishly was terrified of dealing with Cyrus on the outside alone, Jason noticed her trembling hand and made a warm gesture by taking her hand in his own. Jason didn’t think Britt was as selfish people might believe.

At the hospital, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) reassured Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) about Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) helping Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) recover following his cemetery showdown with Peter.

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had been there pitching in all night and talked to Peter in another room. Anna hoped Dante would be able to get on with his life.

Later, Anna informed Olivia and Sam that Kevin had removed the triggers that Dr. Warren Kirk (Jamison Jones) put in place, which were meant to force Dante to eliminate Peter. Olivia was horrified and thought the WSB had become a mess.

Kevin believed the trigger had been removed, but Dante insisted he’d be checking in through more sessions with Kevin to make sure there were no hidden ones.

Dante was grateful to Sam as the only thing that stopped him from killing Peter. When Olivia wondered if anyone was working with Dr. Kirk, Anna suggested there was no evidence of that. She looked deep in thought later and made a phone call to set up a meeting with someone.

Sam eventually got a text from Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos), which shared some updates on Jason’s arrest. Once Sam arrived to see Jason in lockup, she noticed he was holding Britt’s hand and seemed pensive over their close moment.

After Britt left, Sam wondered if Jason had a plan. Jason was doing his best and agreed with Sam about Peter killing Franco. He didn’t think it’d be easy getting out of this jam.

At the Metro Court, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) called Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) out for not mentioning his birthday last week. She wanted to get to know each other, so Martin opened up a bit.

On Friday’s General Hospital episode, Martin talked about how much his mother loved Easter and how he’d been married three times. He also discussed his family struggles and Laura did the same.

Laura wanted Martin to spend Easter with her family this year and ordered him a small birthday cake for a belated celebration at the table.

Over with Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), she argued with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) about her eyewitness account while Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) discussed the whole Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) inside.

Once Brando came in with Gladys, he cornered Michael alone to let him know Gladys was the one who accused Jason.

Michael called Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), who was in the middle of a faceoff with Cyrus and relayed the Gladys news. As for Cyrus, he suggested that maybe Carly had been the one in power all along, so maybe he should be dealing with her.

Cyrus taunted Carly about the five-families meeting that Jason was supposed to be at and how it wouldn’t be good if he didn’t show.

However, Carly called Cyrus out over the Gladys situation, so he argued there was a way to fix it. Perhaps Gladys’ eyesight could suddenly not be all that great – certainly not good enough to confidently identify Jason as the one disposing of the murder weapon.

Cyrus suggested he could get Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) back in exchange and confirmation that they understood each other.

Once Cyrus sauntered over to Laura and Martin’s table, he saw his brother blow out his birthday cake candle. Cyrus wondered what Martin wished for as Martin and Laura looked up.

Back with Jason, he got a visit from Carly and learned she intended to get him out of jail no matter what it took.

As for Gladys, she quizzed Sasha about her drug use and didn’t seem happy about how close Sasha seemed to Brando since he was a former addict. Brando later assured Gladys that Sasha and Michael were trying to work things out in their relationship, but Gladys didn’t seem as certain.

On the elevator at GH, Sam and Britt crossed paths. Britt acknowledged that they weren’t each other’s biggest fans, but she felt they had a common goal since they both knew Jason didn’t kill Franco – and that Peter did.

Sam felt Peter was way more dangerous to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) than they thought, so Britt asked what they were going to do about it.

At The Tan-O, Nina admitted she didn’t get much sleep in Phyllis Caulfield’s (Joyce Guy) guest room. She asked if Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had the chance to learn about his past, would he take it?

Sonny noted that some days he thought about his past constantly, but other days he thought he had a nice life there and might be on the verge of something big.

Nina told Sonny and Phyllis she was leaving and planned to continue on with her trip. However, Sonny got an idea after they started discussing the crime in the area and decreased foot traffic. Sonny wanted to recruit Nina to do a human-interest story at Crimson, but she kept making excuses not to do it.

Sonny felt Nina was making a mistake and pointed out that Phyllis previously dropped everything to come help her in Port Charles. In the end, Nina decided she could do it – though it might be a while before any stories she came up with made it into print.

Nina didn’t see the harm in staying a few more days – and “Mike” agreed there was none.
