General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans are eager to find out if Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) was behind Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) staircase fall – which could mean Franco is back from the dead and out for revenge! Roger Howarth’s mysterious return is rapidly approaching, so could Franco himself be responsible for shoving Peter?
Roger Howarth’s Comeback Is Set for the End of May
Horwarth’s return is supposed to happen by the end of May – and it’s sure to be a dramatic moment worth tuning in for. According to an SOD interview, GH writers promised the start of Roger Howarth’s stint will be “memorable” and that “he will bare his face and perhaps more.”
Viewers may remember that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) once had a basement lab, which could still be under General Hospital.
The last time anyone used it was when an obsessed Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) drugged Dr. Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) and used some ancient Chinese spiritism – trying to get his late father Duke Lavery’s (Ian Buchanan) spirit to channel through him.
Franco was quite familiar with all the nooks and crannies of GH since he worked as an art therapist there. He was also a close friend of Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), who’s the closest thing GH has right now to a mad scientist.
Liesl wasn’t able to force Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) to kill Peter and that’s something she regrets since Peter survived to kill Franco.
Obrecht just might’ve had access to the secrets of the old Cassadine lab – as well as instructions for the technology to fake Franco’s death and keep him in stasis.
Liesl could’ve found a way to remove Franco’s supposedly inoperable brain tumor – and that may have taken a while to recover from.
It would certainly be memorable if a naked, fresh-out-of-stasis Franco escaped from the old Cassadine lab and pushed Peter down the stairs!
Franco’s Potential Identical Twin
Of course, there’s another option to consider that wouldn’t require Franco’s return or undoing his murder. Could Franco have a previously unrevealed identical twin? Could that twin have pushed Peter down the stairs to avenge his brother’s death?
If Franco’s possible twin looked for his birth family, perhaps the search led to the revelation that Peter killed Franco. It’d still bring a memorable new beginning for Howarth if he debuted as Franco’s identical twin brother!
No matter how this plays out, Roger Howarth’s return is rapidly approaching – and the show hasn’t revealed who pushed Peter yet. It’s reasonable to think there might be a connection that’ll be exposed soon enough.
