Now that Jason is back in Port Charles and has been cleared of the charges against him, he’s free to pick up where he left off. Jason was the intended successor after Sonny’s “death” and knows that’s the safest option for the Corinthos family.
Although Jason was proud of the way Carly stepped up in his absence, he doesn’t want her to take unnecessary risks – and remaining in power would be one.
However, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) can tell that Carly actually likes this newfound sense of power. Carly isn’t likely to give it up easily now that she’s had a taste.
It’s clearly gone to Carly’s head, so this will put her at odds with Jason in the coming episodes. General Hospital spoilers say Carly will question Jason’s intentions during the week of June 14-18.
If that’s regarding mob business matters, Carly may end up frustrated when Jason shuts her out.

There’ll be some clashing as Carly and Jason vie for control, so this could mean their friendship will take a temporary hit. Carly may have to accept that Jason is right – that Sonny wouldn’t want her stuck in the crosshairs.
