General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that there’s good news and bad news about Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) future. The bad news is the judge denied Jason’s bail and sent him to Pentonville to await trial.
The good news is Jason could find an ally there to help him defeat Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)!
According to GH spring preview info, Jason will indeed form an alliance with a face from the past. There’ll be someone from General Hospital history – and Jason’s history in particular – who becomes crucial to plotting Cyrus’ takedown.
Of course, we now know Jason will be at Pentonville for a while. We also know that Sean Blakemore is set to reprise his role as Shawn Butler. Since Shawn is still stuck at Pentonville for a crime he didn’t commit, you can bet he’ll cross paths with Jason behind bars.
Jason and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) fought hard to handle Cyrus – and they even let Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) get in on the action.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has also done her best to help, though she sometimes manages to make matters worse instead!
However, Sonny is presumed dead and out of the picture for right now. Jason’s already been struggling and now he’s dealing with being framed for Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder.
What Jason could use is a new perspective on this Cyrus drama – someone who can look at the situation with fresh eyes and offers suggestions.
It sounds like Shawn will be that person for Jason once they’re both at Pentonville together. Perhaps Shawn will even be Jason’s cellmate. Whatever the case, Jason needs all the help he can get if he’s going to get the upper hand again.
Shawn used to work for Sonny’s organization and is probably bored in the slammer anyway, so he can join forces with Jason. This should lead to some great drama and perhaps set up Shawn getting out of Pentonville along with Jason in the end.
