General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has part of her plan all worked out, but she still has some problems to solve. Maxie wants to convince Peter August (Wes Ramsey) that their baby’s stillborn and secretly send their perfectly fine daughter elsewhere.
That takes care of Baby Lou since she’ll be out of town and protected by someone trustworthy – at least if Maxie’s plan pans out.
However, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) warned that Maxie couldn’t just claim the grief was too much and secretly join her baby a few weeks later. That’s what Maxie originally suggested, but it’s just not going to work.
Someone as obsessed as Peter August (Wes Ramsey) won’t just let Maxie run away, especially since he’ll want to come together in this time of sorrow.
This leaves Maxie with a dilemma since she’ll have to keep up the charade and stay by Peter’s side.
It’s not ideal since it puts a lot of pressure on Maxie, who might get tripped up trying to pretend and could be forced to do things she doesn’t want to do. Could General Hospital deliver a better strategy for Maxie?
GH fans know what Maxie needs is somewhere safe to stay until Peter can be arrested. Maxie could use a place with security to ride this storm – somewhere that won’t raise suspicions or send Peter chasing after her.
It seems like it’d be in Maxie’s best interest to fake a breakdown over her baby’s “death” and check in Shadybrook.
It’d be a reasonable story if Maxie became so devastated by Baby Lou’s stillbirth that she totally lost it. Maxie could pretend she suffered a mental break and wind up in Shadybrook to recover.
Maxie would be safe if she was locked up tight at Shadybrook – and Peter would hopefully believe Maxie was genuinely just that distraught. It’d be a pretty easy story to sell to Maxie’s friends and family as well under the circumstances.
There’s no guarantee Maxie will land at Shadybrook, but there’s also no denying that it’d work out well if she did! We’ll provide updates as other GH news becomes available.
