General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, April 5 Recap – Brook Lynn’s Fake Baby Bump Revealed – Ava Freaks Over Creepy Hand Delivery

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, April 5, reveals that Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) snatched a plate away from Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), who was about to eat a dish containing raw fish at the Quartermaine mansion.

Olivia was upset about Brook Lynn not putting her baby’s health first – and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) urged his daughter to forgive herself for selling her ELQ stock.

Ned felt the baby’s health had to be Brook Lynn’s priority. After Brook Lynn stomped off, Olivia urged Ned to get through to Brook Lynn. She felt they had to save Brook Lynn and the baby from BLQ’s worst impulses.

However, Ned hinted that he understood what Brook Lynn was doing for the family. Olivia was miffed over the news that Ned wasn’t opposed to using the child as leverage.

Olivia felt Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) had a big surprise coming for him – and upstairs in her room, Brook Lynn enjoyed some relief by removing her fake baby bump.

Meanwhile, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) stopped by Valentin’s suite to move the Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) plot along since she was eager to clear Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Over with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), he interrupted Gladys’ chat with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Once Brando was alone, he ended up confessing that “Dev Corbin” aka Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) wasn’t really his son.

Brando explained how he got roped into being Dev’s fake father – and Sasha realized that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) had chosen to hide this secret from her.

Valentin flirted with Gladys again by the bar, but Brando came over and got an introduction. After Brando asked to speak with Gladys alone, Valentin took the opportunity to swipe Gladys’ phone and dig for info.

Brando offered Gladys a warning about untrustworthy Valentin before she came over and caught him on her phone.

Valentin covered by claiming he was putting his phone number in – just so they wouldn’t have to keep trying to run into each other. Gladys seemed to believe Valentin and smiled over forgiving him.

When Valentin asked to have lunch with Gladys, she had to take a raincheck since she was already having lunch with Brando.

Afterward on Monday’s GH episode, Valentin informed Carly that Gladys’ phone had made calls to a burner phone – and they started up right after Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) was murdered. Carly and Valentin knew those calls had to be interactions with Cyrus.

As for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), he talked to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) about taking some steps forward with his family. Chase praised Willow for helping him learn about forgiveness.

Later, Willow and Michael joked around about an old lucky shirt of Michael’s. They also discussed Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and how Willow’s opinion matters more to Michael than Sasha’s.

Willow got a bit uncomfortable, but she noted that it was understandable since she’s Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) mother. However, Michael argued it was more than that – and he leaned in for a kiss with Willow right as Sasha arrived to see them.

At the gallery, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) questioned Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) about his gloomy, distracted mood.

Nikolas confessed that Spencer Cassadine (last played by Nicolas Bechtel). He ranted about Spencer being close to graduation and felt his son should learn to accept his marriage.

Nikolas also admitted his upcoming vow renewal wouldn’t feel right without his son by his side. Ava assured Nikolas that Spencer would come around eventually.

When Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) appeared, he clashed with Nikolas over Martin’s decision to help Julian Jerome (William deVry) escape.

Nevertheless, Martin offered a warning about Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) manipulating Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and pulling her further into his twisted web. Martin felt Laura would need her family’s protection, so that gave Nikolas something to mull over.

As for Laura, she opened up to Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) about Cyrus trying to make his brother look bad and expressed her disappointment in Martin. Once Kevin heard the Julian story, he thought Laura’s disappointment was understandable.

After Kevin left, Cyrus showed up to speak with Laura about missing Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) and all the Corinthos conflict. Laura felt Cyrus should confess his crimes and go back to prison, but he ranted about how she took sides in the mob war.

Cyrus felt Laura had an opportunity to stop that war – and that blood would be on Laura’s hands if she didn’t.

Nikolas came along and physically attacked Cyrus moments later. He grabbed Cyrus and offered a warning to stay away from his mother, but Laura warned Nikolas to let him go.

Cyrus suggested that if Laura wouldn’t help protect her family, maybe Nikolas would be motivated to protect his.

Back with Ava on Monday’s General Hospital episode, she received a special delivery while Kevin was at the gallery. Ava opened the package and screamed over the fake severed hand inside.
