General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, December 20, tease that Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) will ask if Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is still in love with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) while Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) insists he’s a changed man. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will also spar, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will seem upset as she suggests it’s a good thing she’s sitting down. Perhaps Brook Lynn will receive the official news about Liam Corbin’s death and hate what his parents are going through.
Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) just let Liam go, so Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will get updates on their loss and feel a familiar pang of sadness.
It’ll remind Willow of how she lost her own biological child, though didn’t find out about that loss until much later.
Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) may suspect Willow is still upset over the paternity lie and will tell her she can feel however she wants to feel. Once Chase realizes what’s really on Willow’s mind, he’ll do his best to offer comfort.
Chase was there for Willow when she first learned her baby was dead, so it’s fitting that he’ll be there for her now.
Of course, Willow will also take comfort in being able to raise Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos and the family she’s built with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Speaking of Michael, he’ll likely reflect on a difficult loss of his own – at least what he thought was a difficult loss. Michael grieved over Jonah Corinthos and only found out Jonah was Wiley years later.
Carly will meet up with Michael and make sure he’s holding up OK as he reflects on that tough time in his life.
Michael will also have a conversation with Sonny about protecting his family no matter the cost, so it sounds like he’ll still be riled over Brad Cooper’s (Parry Shen) release.
Next on Monday’s GH episode, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will show up to see Cyrus in prison and will warn him not to play games with her. Cyrus will seemingly be genuine when he reveals that he found God behind bars and now has no desire to kill his siblings.
That’ll leave Laura skeptical, but she’ll have to admit Cyrus appears to have transformed his life. Cyrus will let Laura know someone else was behind the assassin who showed up at the safe house and urge her to stay on guard.
At Kelly’s, General Hospital spoilers say Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will pay Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) a visit. He’ll suggest he “may be able to do something about that,” which will earn a slight smile from Spencer.
Whether this involves a better job or perhaps interfering in Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) marriage, Spencer should be pleased to have Victor for an ally.
It’s clear that Spencer doesn’t understand what Victor is capable of, so he could be in for a rude awakening down the road.
Over with Liesl, she’ll get on Carly’s bad side. Carly will seem annoyed over Liesl going out of her way to share something – no doubt something related to Nina. Obrecht may mention that she supports Nina and hopes the case gets thrown out.
Since Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will be nervous about Nina’s preliminary hearing, Liesl will expose Nina and Sonny’s Nixon Falls romance sooner or later.
Obrecht will hope Scott can use that to make Sonny look like a willing participant rather than Nina’s victim.
At Charlie’s Pub, Nina will open up to Phyllis before her friend pushes for honesty.
Phyllis will ask if Nina’s still in love with Sonny, but Nina may not think it matters since Sonny’s married and wants to be with Carly.
Even so, Nina may admit part of her will always love Sonny and wish things could’ve been different. Sonny and Nina’s complicated romance will remain a big factor for both of them, so stay tuned to ABC’s GH!
