General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, January 18, tease that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will get a terrific idea from someone – at least Ava will think it’s terrific! Ava will inch closer to exposing a huge secret on Monday’s episode, so this idea may tie in with that.
Since Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) isn’t going to let the whole necklace thing go, Ava might decide to ask Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) which jewelry repair shop is working on the necklace.
Carly claimed it wasn’t ready, but Ava may feel like it shouldn’t take this long to fix a simple clasp. She might resolve to pick up the necklace herself or send it to a different, more competent shop if need be.
Of course, this is going to be a problem since Carly never sent the necklace anywhere for repairs. Carly’s still in possession of the half-heart pendant that once belonged to Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier).
General Hospital spoilers say Ava’s suspicions could be on the rise before long, so that may be how she closes in on this shocking secret.
In the meantime, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will ask if someone’s having second thoughts. Since both Jax and Carly will be at the Metro Court on Monday, this may tie in with Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) presumed death.
“I just can’t shake this feeling,” Carly says with tears in her eyes on Monday’s GH preview video.
Carly may admit that something deep inside is telling her that Sonny’s alive. However, Jax clearly thinks Sonny is dead and may gently shoot down Carly’s hope. General Hospital spoilers say Carly will make a devastating decision on Monday, so that might involve Sonny’s memorial service plans.
Of course, Sonny is alive and well at bar Lenny Caulfield owns – but he’ll fear that may not be the case for long! An armed man’s trying to rob the place, so things will get pretty intense on Monday’s show.
The guy will shove Sonny and insist now would be a good time to shut up, but Sonny will get the upper hand and help to disarm the robber.
Lenny has been suspicious of Sonny, but this should definitely be enough to win him over! Sonny will save Lenny and Phyllis Caulfield (Juliette Jeffries) along with the bar, so Lenny will be glad Phyllis brought in another “stray” after all.
Back in Port Charles, Nina will listen to someone’s surprising suggestion. “What are you thinking?” Nina asks in Monday’s GH preview video. It’s possible that’ll set up the big step forward Nina and Jax are about to take in their relationship.
Nina spends a lot of her time at Jax’s place anyway, so maybe they’ll discuss Nina officially moving in. A marriage proposal might be coming up sooner or later, but it’s doubtful Jax would just blurt that out in Nina’s office. We’d like to think Jax would be more romantic than that.
Whatever the case, General Hospital spoilers say Nina and Jax’s romance is doomed due to the secrets Jax is keeping with Carly. Jax had better enjoy the bliss with Nina while it lasts.
Over with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), she’ll ask Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) to teach her how to be a spy. Robert might point out that they already tried that with mixed results on their casino trip.
Olivia came through for Robert and Ethan Lovett (Nathan Parsons) in the end, but she wasn’t exactly smooth in the moments leading up to her rescue.
Olivia will want some tips to improve her game now that she’s trying to expose Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) lies. While Olivia asks Robert for help, it looks like Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will quiz Tracy about where she was.
Ned should get nervous when he hears Tracy paid a visit to Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place. It’s clear that Tracy’s stirring up trouble when she should really back off.
Next, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will be puzzled over Cameron Webber’s (William Lipton) comment. Cameron will mention something about Joss throwing her journal away, so Josslyn will wonder why he thinks she would do that.
Could this set the wheels in motion for the journal truth to come out? Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab) stole Josslyn’s journal and forged a journal entry to make Cameron think she hated the kiss.
Even if the whole story doesn’t unravel just yet, this could be the first clue to put Cam, Joss and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) on the right track.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will get honest about their feelings for each other. Naturally, Michael and Willow will have to be honest about their feelings for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), too.
Once Willow and Michael talk things out, they’ll determine that there’s only one thing they can do: get an annulment. Michael and Willow will resolve to sign the papers, but it’ll be a difficult choice that they really don’t want to make.
That leaves the door open for Willow and Michael to reconnect down the road, but they’ll settle on ending their marriage for now.
