General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, June 7 Recap – Valentin’s Bailey Birth Certificate Demand – Carly Cries for Sonny

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, June 7, reveals Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) made a birth certificate demand – and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) had a change of heart regarding the ELQ shares. Meanwhile, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) cried for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), so here’s how it all went down on Monday’s drama-filled show.

At GH, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was critical but stable after being in the OR all night.

Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) arrived to get updates on her nephew and was glad to hear that Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) shot Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). She prayed Cyrus had a long life of penance in prison.

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) insisted that Jordan was a hero in her eyes and the eyes of the people of Port Charles.

However, Jordan pointed out to Stella that Curtis risked his own life by entering the hostage crisis. She felt Curtis was the hero instead.

Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) met Stella, who recognized Portia’s name and dropped a hint about Curtis mentioning her before.

Stella also had a supportive chat with Jordan while Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) pushed Curtis to wake up. Trina wanted to properly apologize for how she treated Curtis before and was quite distraught when he didn’t open his eyes.

Laura also took her turn with Curtis – and so did Jordan as well as Stella. Nevertheless, it was Portia’s visit that finally caused Curtis to awaken in his hospital bed.

In Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) hospital room, she had a dream that she was holding Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) in her arms. Maxie woke up wondering to herself how she was going to do this and saw an inquisitive Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) standing there.

Dante was eager to quiz Maxie about the kidnapping, but Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) appeared and didn’t like what he was implying.

Although Dante felt like something more was going on, Sam wondered if he was accusing Maxie of having something to do with her baby’s disappearance.

Dante just thought there were facts that Maxie hadn’t divulged for various reasons – like fatigue and anxiety. He suggested that maybe Maxie was thinking more clearly now and could open up, but Sam pushed him to back off for now since Maxie was overwhelmed.

In the hallway, Sam argued that Dante should have a heart or at least find one. She felt Dante had gotten so caught up in being a cop that he’d forgotten how to be a friend.

Sam pushed for a chance to talk to Maxie herself. She reentered Maxie’s room and gently emphasized how important it was for her to remember everything that happened.

In Nixon Falls, “Mike” aka Sonny admitted to Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) and Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) that he scared Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) off.

When Nina arrived, Lenny made up an excuse to pull Sonny away for a private chat. Sonny explained his kiss blunder, but Lenny felt like there was a real connection that “Mike” shouldn’t give up on.

Phyllis gave similar advice to Nina since everyone saw that kiss coming. Nina tried to act like it was too complicated, but Phyllis thought “Mike” could be the key to a whole new life for Nina.

Sonny and Nina eventually had a moment alone, so Nina thought it was time to talk about that kiss.

Back in Port Charles, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) once again voiced his displeasure over Carly’s mob power trip.

Talk also turned to Nina still being banned from Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), so Carly was frustrated over Jax pushing the issue.

Jax felt like it was Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) call to make. However, Jax felt like he was being ignored, which was unlike Michael.

Jax wondered if Carly knew what was up, so Carly mentioned some of the drama that was going on with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Michael and Willow cherished some morning family time with Wiley before Willow took off for the hospital. Soon after, Jax arrived and wanted to speak with Michael.

When Michael tried to act like he was too busy, Jax promised this wouldn’t take long and revealed that he knew what was going on between Michael and Willow.

Next, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was frantic when she realized “Bailey” had disappeared from her bassinet.

Brook Lynn was relieved to find Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) bonding with the baby in the living room, where Valentin had taken her for a stroll.

Brook Lynn was anxious to get Valentin to sign over the ELQ shares – and Valentin wanted his name on the birth certificate.

Before they could make both documents official, Ned got rid of Valentin so they could have a family discussion. Ned wanted Brook Lynn to just forget the shares since “Bailey” was far too important to use for such a trivial matter.

Brook Lynn didn’t see it as trivial since this would give them majority voting rights, but Ned didn’t care about that anymore.

Ned’s whole world was right there in that room and didn’t want Brook Lynn tying herself to Valentin forever. However, Brook Lynn insisted on signing, so she sealed the deal on the birth certificate and Valentin signed the ELQ shares over as well.

Afterward, Ned shared a sweet moment with Olivia and was hopeful about being grandparents together.

As for Brook Lynn, she expected Valentin would be moving out and was surprised to learn he wanted to stay. Valentin just wanted to remain as close to “Bailey” as possible and be a parental team with Brook Lynn.

Back with Carly, she cried as she looked at a picture of Sonny on her phone and admitted she missed him. General Hospital spoilers say Sonny and Carly’s reunion is coming down the road, but it’ll bring some complications!
