General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, March 8 Recap – Maxie Lashes Out – Franco & Peter Gun Struggle – Gregory Learns The Truth

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, March 8, reveal that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) woke up tied to a chair in a remote location, as Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) taunted him and waved Peter’s gun around.

Franco explained that he preferred to use his own “tools,” and he whipped out a tray of knives and other ominous-looking instruments.

Franco said that he was going to call this piece “confessional,” but Peter said that Franco was bluffing. Franco said that the voice in his head was that of Drew Cain (Billy Miller) and that he remembered Peter handing Drew off to Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers).

“That’s a memory you’d kill to keep buried,” Franco mused.

Franco slapped Peter to stop him from playing the victim, and he asked Peter to admit handing Drew over to Helena. Peter refused, and Franco threatened to cut out Peter’s tongue.

Peter started talking, admitting that he gave Drew over to Helena and that he sabotaged Drew’s plane. Peter also admitted that he hired the OR assassin and then framed Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) for his own crimes.

Franco then revealed that he had recorded Peter’s confession, as Peter quietly tried to get his hands free from his binding.

Peter fumed that his confessions wouldn’t hold up in court, and Franco said that while that may be the case, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) would certainly hear the recording.

Suddenly, Peter broke free from his hand ties and went after the gun that was sitting on a nearby table. Peter got the gun and held Franco at gunpoint, while Franco tried to dissuade him from shooting.

Peter fumed that there was no evidence against him, and then Franco lunged at Peter. The men struggled, and the gun went off, but who got shot was unclear.

At Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) apartment, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) wondered if Chase had heard from Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), which Chase hadn’t.

Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) walked into the room wondering where her daddy was, and she said that she just wanted to go home.

Over at the Metro Court, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) eavesdropped as Finn and Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) continued their conversation about what happened the night before Jackie and Gregory’s wedding.

Gregory interrupted, and when he wanted to know what had happened, they all went inside Jackie’s suite to talk.

Finn and Jackie spilled the beans, telling Gregory that they slept together on the night before the wedding all those years ago. Gregory was appalled, and Finn explained that his shame kept him away all these years.

Suddenly, Gregory realized that Chase could be Finn’s son, and he demanded a paternity test. Finn said that a test had been done, but that he hadn’t checked the results yet.

Gregory was adamant that Chase needed to know about all of this, and just then, Finn got a text from Chase saying that Violet needed him. Finn left, saying the test results would be back in the morning, and Jackie implored Gregory not to upend Chase’s life.

Gregory didn’t seem inclined to honor Jackie’s wishes.

At the hospital, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) told Maxie that her baby was fine, but that she needed to avoid stress. Maxie thought it was too late for that, and she demanded to know why Britt hadn’t told her about Peter sooner.

Out in the hallway, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) caught up with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and learned that Peter hadn’t shown up at the hospital yet.

Valentin noted that he was off to talk with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) about Peter, and he left.

Mac Scorpio (John J. York) approached Anna, and he was all upset with her for protecting Peter for so long and keeping things from Maxie. Britt approached Mac and Anna and told Mac that the baby was fine, and that Maxie should avoid stress. Anna headed into Maxie’s room.

At Polluzo’s, Jason and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) talked about how Franco was having Drew’s memories. Valentin arrived and shared that Maxie and Peter didn’t get married, and Spinelli hightailed it to the hospital to see Maxie.

Valentin then implored Jason not to retaliate against Peter and to let the WSB handle him. Britt arrived and urged Jason to do the same.

Back at the hospital, Anna and Maxie had a tense conversation in Maxie’s room. Anna insisted that she never meant to hurt Maxie, but Maxie couldn’t understand why Anna let everyone think she was Peter’s mother.

Anna tried to explain that she wanted to protect Peter and change him. Maxie lamented that Anna thought the man she loved was a lie, and Anna said that Peter was damaged.

Back at Chase’s apartment, Finn arrived just as Willow got Violet tucked into bed. Finn went to check on Violet, and Willow left. Finn returned to the room to talk with Chase, saying that he didn’t know what to do next or even if he and Violet had a home anymore.

Chase told Finn that tomorrow would be a better day, and Finn went and cuddled up next to Violet in bed.
