General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will come home for her grandson Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), but she just might get a reunion with her daughter Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), too! Will this family finally come back together for a new chapter?
It was awfully cruel for GH to kill Nelle off while Nina was in the dark on their connection. Nina only found out after Nelle was gone, so that’s something the show may want to rectify at some point.
Finding Nina’s daughter was a huge deal to her, so she deserves the chance to get to know Nelle on a deeper level and try to make a difference in her life. Of course, there’s no guarantee Nina’s efforts would pay off, but it’d still be a great storyline.
Watching Nina deal with some daughter drama would be fun, especially with Wiley in the mix. Nina would have to balance her desire to protect Wiley with her desire to make things right with Nelle.
That’d put Nina in tricky territory since she’d want to help Nelle, but she’d also have to acknowledge Nelle’s twisted history and tackle more problems as they came.
Even so, we might see Nina fight to get Nelle off the hook for her crimes – that is once she got over the shock of Nelle being alive in the first place!
General Hospital kept things vague when it came to the confirmation of Nelle’s deadly exit. We saw Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) in the morgue – and Julian Jerome (William deVry) in a body bag. Why weren’t viewers given a glimpse of Nelle’s corpse as well?
It makes sense that maybe they wanted to leave the door open for a back-from-the-dead bombshell. Since we didn’t see dead Nelle with our own eyes, that makes it easier to potentially undo Nelle’s grim fate.
Love her or hate her, there’s no denying that Nelle shakes things up whenever she’s in Port Charles. There’s some unfinished business when it comes to Nelle and Nina’s storyline, so it’d be nice to see a family reunion.
Perhaps after Nina comes home for Wiley, she’ll get another dream come true and be reunited with Nelle, too. Would you like to see Chloe Lanier return as Nelle Benson? As other news pops up, we’ll keep bringing you updates.
