General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will cross paths with a familiar nurse – at least one who’s familiar to GH fans. It looks like Phyllis Caulfield (Juliette Jeffers) will help Sonny at the hospital he lands at, so this could become a crucial part of the story down the road.
We’re hearing that Phyllis is in a relationship with a man named Lenny, who’ll own that bar that Sonny ends up working in. Sonny will get a job and a roof over his head thanks to this couple’s kindness and Sonny’s heroism.
Lenny mainly handles the bar end of things since Phyllis is busy with her hospital duties, but you can bet Phyllis will still be around.
This is interesting since Phyllis also happens to be the nurse who took care of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) while she was in her coma – and the nurse who revealed the story of the daughter Nina was separated from.
Of course, General Hospital viewers know that daughter was Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier).
Nelle’s storyline was obviously quite tangled up with Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) story since she fell off a cliff after a fight with Carly. Although Carly did her best to pull Nelle up, Nelle plummeted to her death – at least that’s what fans were told.
Carly later found out about Nelle and Nina’s mother-daughter link through the necklace Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) picked up.
Phyllis had those half-heart pendants made, so she’s a critical part of all this. Sonny knows about Nelle’s necklace and connection to Nina, so we’ll see if Phyllis shares this story with Sonny at some point.
There’s the potential for Sonny’s memory to get jogged by the story itself or the mention of Port Charles, where Phyllis met with Nina.
Then again, Phyllis might play a bigger role in the storyline after Sonny’s memories ultimately return. Sonny could easily keep Phyllis and Lenny as friends. If Phyllis eventually comes in contact with that necklace Carly’s trying to hide, the wheels could start turning!
Phyllis could help crack the case of Nina’s missing daughter for her with tragic results.
Naturally, all of that could be pretty far off since Sonny’s amnesia storyline is just getting started. The point is Phyllis’ inclusion seems important and quite intriguing.
General Hospital spoilers say this twist has to be heading somewhere – and we can certainly see the possibility of Nelle and Nina’s connection tying in.
