General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may follow Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) back to Port Charles for Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) nightclub grand opening. Could this set the stage for a back-from-the-dead surprise at The Savoy?
Let’s look at some evidence and try to nail down where this hot plot is headed.
For starters, we should mention that Réal Andrews (Marcus Taggert) has been posting some great pics that appear to have been taken on The Savoy set. Andrews was looking all spiffy in his suit like it was for the opening night scenes that are coming up.
One pic was snapped with Brook Kerr (Portia Robinson), but the one that’s really of interest here is the one Andrews took with Cynthia Watros.
Of course, this makes it seem like Watros was also filming on that set – meaning Nina could be part of the grand opening. It makes sense considering Nina and Curtis are good friends. What kind of pal would Nina be if she didn’t come back to support Curtis on his big night?
Nina may decide she has to be there for Curtis and show him she’s proud of his efforts. She might tell “Mike” aka Sonny that she’ll be back in a couple days – or maybe Nina could even decide she’d better end this Nixon Falls mess while she still can! Nina might walk away entirely and just come home.
Regardless, there’s the potential for Sonny to follow Nina back to Port Charles, especially since he knows the name of the town and could easily find it. If Sonny fears Nina is in danger or simply wants to come surprise her, he could certainly land at The Savoy along with practically all of PC.
Everyone important will be at this bash, so it seems like the perfect place for Sonny to show up. “Mike” wouldn’t know a soul except for Nina, but everybody else would know him!
GH writers will no doubt want to make sure Sonny’s return is an epic moment. There’s also been a ton of talk about this grand opening and the surprises it’ll bring.
Does all of this add up to “Mike” aka Sonny following Nina home and crashing The Savoy grand opening?
