General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, August 19 Recap – Ava Leaving PC – Britt Snubbed - Trina Heartbroken

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 19, reveals that Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) was heartbroken over Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) girlfriend, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). Ava Jerome (Maura West) also decided she was leaving Port Charles while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) got snubbed.

At Wyndemere on Thursday’s GH episode, Spencer seemed to be on the verge of kissing Trina when someone surprising appeared on the turret. It was Esme, who fans previously saw scheming at the hospital.

Spencer pulled back from Trina before Esme planted a big kiss and insisted she was “the girlfriend.” She was sure Spencer must’ve told his friends all about her, but she quickly realized that wasn’t the case.

Trina was clearly taken aback and hurt, but she covered well enough and got out of there.

As for Esme, she wondered why Spencer hadn’t mentioned her to anyone yet. Spencer acted like he was going to before things got so chaotic.

When Esme confessed that she’d helped Spencer by setting Ava’s car on fire, he flipped out and felt all this had gone way too far.

However, Esme reminded Spencer that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) pretended he was dead and chose his wicked stepmother over him.

Downstairs, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) worried that Nikolas was too far gone to save and didn’t know how he was supposed to make this up to Spencer.

Nikolas knew he had some work to do, but Spencer came in with Esme and wasn’t interested in talking.

After Spencer introduced his girlfriend to his grandmother, he told Nikolas that he wished he’d never come back.

Laura knew Spencer was angry right now, but she hoped he wouldn’t mean that forever.

At the hospital, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) offered to give Ava something if she needed it to sleep.

Ava snapped at Portia because she needed to stay alert, but she ultimately apologized – and Portia understood this was a stressful time.

Ava also talked to Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) about the torched car and badge that was found. Kevin debated whether it could still be Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and admitted Nikolas carried out his disastrous plan.

Trina also checked on Ava, who wasn’t pleased to learn Spencer might never forgive Nikolas for what he’d done tonight.

Ava later turned her attention back to Kevin and talked about how she didn’t feel safe. She wondered if there was nowhere she could go where the psychopath stalker couldn’t get to her.

Ava decided that she needed to get out of Port Charles – and she needed to go alone.

Back with Portia, she heard about the party drama from Trina and comforted her daughter over Spencer’s girlfriend news.

At The Savoy, Britt noticed Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) sit down with a group of nurses from the hospital.

Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy), Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman), Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) and Deanna Sirtis (Dioni Michelle Collins) were all on hand for a girls’ night out.

Britt seemed to feel excluded and tried to make an effort, but she was given the cold shoulder by everyone at the table.

Britt found out Terry was behind this girls’ night and was trying to connect with the staff outside the hospital.

Terry cornered Britt by the bar alone and gave her a speech about earning respect.

Terry also sent Epiphany over for a talk later, so Britt tried to patch things up for the demotion drama and how Epiphany had been treated before. After sending the ladies some shots, Britt headed out.

At the warehouse where the five families meeting wrapped up, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) told Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) they were in trouble.

Jason discussed how the other organizations viewed them as vulnerable and hoped to use that to their advantage, but they had to do what they wanted as part of that plan.

Jason told Carly about the ultimatum of elimination or marriage since she was a liability until they tied the knot.

Carly was frustrated over no part of this marriage being about them, but she understood and suggested September 17 as their wedding date. Jason quickly approved, so it was settled.

General Hospital spoilers say Jason and Carly’s nuptials are sure to bring some wild moments, so don’t miss what’s brewing.
