General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, December 30, tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will face a heartbroken New Year’s Eve while Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) confesses to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will also confront Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), so there’ll be a lot going on in Thursday’s exciting show.
At The Savoy, a New Year’s Eve celebration will get underway. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will share a romantic moment with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) as he confesses he’d like for them to be closer – perhaps in more ways than one.
Portia and Curtis are on the verge of taking a big step as a couple, so it sounds like Curtis will pitch the idea of living together.
GH fans can expect Curtis and Portia to celebrate a fresh start as 2022 kicks off in Port Charles.
Over with Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri), she’ll have a special request for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Drew will spend some time with Scout at Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) place, so they’ll have a blast. As Scout wears her 2022 glasses, she’ll ask if Drew’s going to stay until midnight.
Drew may land in a tight spot since he won’t want to intrude on any romantic plans Sam might have for New Year’s Eve with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
At the same time, Drew finds it awfully hard to say no to Scout’s sweet face. We’ll see if Sam urges Drew to stay or if he just promises to meet up with Scout again soon.
Regardless, Dante will be busy supporting Sonny for a while. At Charlie’s Pub, Dante will get Sonny to admit he felt something for Nina and still does now.
Sonny will bring Dante up to speed on what happened in court and the complicated aftermath.
Sonny is stuck in a real mess since he couldn’t tell Carly what she wanted to hear.
Carly warned Sonny not to come home tonight, so it looks like he’ll have to crash elsewhere.
Of course, that doesn’t mean Sonny will ring in the new year alone! Could Nina cross paths with Sonny before midnight arrives in Port Charles?
Whatever the case, Nina will sulk at The Savoy with Liesl and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) in the meantime.
Liesl will end up admitting she tipped Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) off to Nina’s Nixon Falls romance with Sonny, so Nina won’t be pleased.
It seems Nina will feel like Obrecht destroyed what was left of her relationship with Sonny, but Liesl will think she saved it instead.
Obrecht may remind Nina that she could’ve landed in prison and urge her to count her blessings as the year winds down.
After everything that’s gone down, Nina will surely want to seek Sonny out and talk through things soon.
Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) will get all dressed up for New Year’s Eve with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), who’ll be puzzled over something her new man needs to know about Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Martin may hold out hope that he can keep Valentin as a friend and client despite his budding romance with Lucy.
Across town, Valentin will talk about how he’s over something – and he’ll think Anna’s over it, too.
That could be as simple as Valentin and Anna wanting to put the horrors of 2021 behind them.
No matter what Valentin means exactly, he’ll share some tender scenes with Anna as 2022 approaches.
Perhaps Anna and Valentin will even ring in the new year with a kiss as they look to the future.
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was excited over the idea of potentially becoming a professor – that is until she realized she’d have to pass a background check. This presents another career snag, but Alexis will hope her luck turns around soon.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will also bail on Cameron Webber (William Lipton) since Carly needs her kids right now.
It looks like Carly will confront Willow about keeping Nina’s secret for her, but Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) may once again defend Willow as a victim of manipulation.
