General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, September 16, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will walk down the aisle as the wedding begins – and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will score a stunning rescuer. Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will also comfort Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), so here’s what viewers will see in Thursday’s action-packed show.
At Nixon Falls, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will desperately want to get to “Mike” aka Sonny, but Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Radmacher) will keep holding her back.
It’s not safe for Nina to reenter the burning bar, so knocked-out Sonny will need help from another source – perhaps one beyond the grave!
GH fans can expect an old friend to make a stunning comeback and spark some big changes.
That’s a rather cryptic description, but maybe that’s just to preserve the surprise.
Mike Corbin (Max Gail) is more than a friend since he’s Sonny’s deceased dad, but he seems like an excellent choice as a returning character who might guide Sonny to wake up.
It’d be fitting since Mike did the same thing when the Nixon Falls storyline kicked off, but we can’t rule out other visitors in vision form – like maybe Stone Cates (Michael Sutton).
Regardless, Sonny will die if he doesn’t get some assistance, so someone should appear to him and give him a nudge to get out while he still can.
Since Sonny hit his head, that could be another significant part of the story. Sonny is set to remember his true identity while he’s still in Nixon Falls, so perhaps he’ll find that getting whacked in the noggin broke some memories loose!
Back in Port Charles, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) won’t be interested in continuing the Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) discussion with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).
Olivia feels like Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) overstepped with his specialist suggestion and doesn’t believe he’s trustworthy anyway.
Ned will still think they need to talk about this, but Olivia may push him to just get through this marriage ceremony with her first.
Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) didn’t get an invite from Carly and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but she’ll still have a chance to watch the nuptials as Vincent Novak’s (Glenn Taranto) plus one.
As for Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), he’ll talk to Gladys and Vincent about Jason deserving his share of something. That could be something as simple as happiness if Brando feels like Vincent and Gladys are causing too much trouble ahead of the wedding.
Vincent will wind up cornering Jason to apologize – at least in his own smug way. Jason will acknowledge the halfhearted effort, but he’ll be rather skeptical and won’t want to focus on the mob drama right now anyway.
Brick (Stephen A. Smith) is in charge of security, so Jason till hope there’s nothing to worry about as the ceremony inches closer.
Unfortunately, it’s a major warehouse that’s vulnerable since Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and his mob allies are going to destroy one if all goes well.
There’ll be one last pre-wedding meeting just to make sure the plan’s all set.
Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) will stay tight-lipped about a secret or at least his thoughts on something in Thursday’s episode, so it’ll be interesting to see what that’s all about.
Meanwhile, Cameron will console Trina after she shares the stress of all everything she’s been dealing with.
Cam knows how obnoxious Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) can be and isn’t too fond of his “extra” girlfriend either.
Trina will gain Cameron as a crucial ally – one who’ll help her bring Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) during the week of September 20-24.
In the meantime, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will continue to take her wedding planner duties quite seriously.
Maxie will make sure Carly, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) all take their places for the nuptials since it’s time to get the marriage ball rolling.
Of course, that means Maxie will be caught up in all the wedding details and won’t pay much attention if any to Jax when he tries to call.
Jax will find out the latest Peter August (Wes Ramsey) details from Nina and hope to warn Maxie, but she won’t get that warning anytime soon.
General Hospital spoilers say Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will go Peter hunting before long, so stay tuned.
