General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) revealed his return to GH and offered a message for Robert fans after some social media drama. Robert has certainly dropped off the map lately, but he’s all set to get back in the Port Charles action and become part of some hot storylines again.
On Twitter, Rogers wanted to fill fans in and offer some hope for the future. “I think it’s safe to…say I’m back in the show. Let’s all be positive,” Rogers said in an optimistic tweet. This brought plenty of support from viewers that have been eager to see more of Robert on the canvas.
As for why Robert hasn’t been around, we may never know the full story. Robert was given quite a bit of airtime before fading away entirely, so that led to speculation from fans that it was related to behind-the-scenes issues.
You may recall how Rogers weighed in on Wes Ramsey’s role as Peter August earlier this year and stirred up some trouble in a Cameo video.
Rogers made comments about Ramsey not having the “natural menace” to play the villain and complained about Peter’s story, which led to a lengthy response from Ramsey where he addressed the video indirectly.
Of course, Ramsey dates Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) in real life, so some viewers wondered if cast tension might’ve been a factor in Rogers taking a backseat all of a sudden. That may or may not have been to blame, but it’s good that Rogers is getting back in the mix regardless!
Robert always brings something fun to the table and is a fan favorite, particularly for viewers that have been watching for many years.
We know Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will end up at a casino in Monte Carlo down the road, so it could be the one that previously belonged to Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck).
If so, there could be a connection between the stories surrounding missing Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms).
If it’s finally time to continue the story of presumed dead Holly and expose the fact that she’s actually being held captive, that’s a storyline Robert would definitely need to be part of.
Whatever the case, Tristan Rogers has expressed optimism about his future on the show, so that’s a great sign!
