General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, July 23, teases that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) have a double confession coming up. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will also praise lifesaver Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) while Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) plays Cupid. Let’s talk about what’s coming up on Friday’s exciting episode.
In Nixon Falls, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will reunite with “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) at The Tan-O.
Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) is dealing with a lot now that she knows about Lenny Caulfield’s (Rif Hutton) cancer diagnosis, so Sonny will be glad Nina’s back to comfort her.
However, Nina will admit she’s not just back for Phyllis’ sake. She also decided to return because she missed “Mike,” so that’ll be music to his ears since he missed Nina, too.
Sonny may get bold and dive in for a lip lock at some point. It’s been quite some time since these two last saw each other, so Nina and Sonny will certainly want to savor this reunion.
Back in Port Charles, Jason will catch up with Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) and insist he’s all in on his marriage to Carly.
Jason will suggest Carly saved his life in more ways than one, so he’ll have no problem making this commitment to her.
Next, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will drive a hard bargain. He’ll want something in exchange when Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) asks for a favor.
Maybe there’ll be some incentive Britt can offer as long as Austin backs her for the chief of staff position.
Whatever the case, Austin always seems to be working an angle and looking out for number one!
At the Metro Court pool, Ava Jerome (Maura West) will be surprised when she runs into Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). It looks like Ava will comment on the beautiful setting or perhaps just the beautiful day.
“Beautiful is the word,” Nikolas says with a grin in Friday’s preview clip. He’ll clearly mean Ava instead, so she should get a bit uncomfortable.
After all, Ava is trying to avoid Nikolas and cut him out of her life. That’s not what she wants, but she feels it’s necessary for safety’s sake. Trina doesn’t like to see Ava suffering, so she’ll come up with a scheme to help “Nava” get their future back on track.
Once Trina updates Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) on the solution she has in mind, he may work to sabotage it. This is one area Spencer and Trina will definitely be at odds on since Spencer wants Ava away from Nikolas permanently.
Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) will have some info to pass along to Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry), so she should appreciate the distraction.
After witnessing Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) kiss, Jordan may welcome the chance to talk about Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig) shooting or anything else.
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will get another visit from Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), who’ll be relieved to know her mom will be staying in a much nicer correctional facility from now on.
Sam may also mention her plans to join forces with Shawn since a team effort’s brewing. Shawn and Sam will work together to crack the case of who shot Hayden.
In the meantime, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will talk about the conclusion Anna’s reached. Anna feels confident the guy on the roof with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was an enemy.
Valentin may wonder if there’s an enemy in particular that Anna’s settled on, so we’ll see if she confides that part.
Anna appears to be shielding Finn on some level, but it won’t be until Friday that she clicks it all together and decides Finn was indeed on the rooftop.
Speaking of Finn, he’ll get into another argument with Liz about what’s best. Jason has plenty of experience getting rid of dead bodies, so GH spoilers say Liz will want to trust him with the secret and ask for a favor.
With Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) on Jason’s side, Liz may not be worried about those pesky security cams either.
Spinelli knows how to take care of tech issues – and Jason’s capable of making Peter’s corpse disappear.
Liz will think Jason is the ideal person to help with their deadly dilemma, but it’ll take some work to get Finn on board.
Nevertheless, we’re building to a double confession as Liz spills all to Jason while Finn gets ready to tell Anna the whole truth.
