General Hospital Spoilers Update: Monday, January 4 – Cyrus Bursts Into Carly's Home, Demands Mom Back From Jason

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, January 4, teases that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will clash with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). During another drunken moment where Alexis says all the wrong things, she’ll manage to rile Ava up.

It seems Alexis will witness Ava and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) having a lovey-dovey conversation. Alexis will marvel over Nikolas and Ava actually being in love.

She’ll probably act like this marriage isn’t going to last or that Ava isn’t a good match for Nikolas, but Ava won’t stand there and take that.

Since Alexis knows Julian Jerome (William deVry) is dead, she may bring up Ava’s brother being gone and make matters worse. Alexis might argue that the world’s a better place without her deceased ex, but that’s Ava’s beloved brother!

Ava had problems with Julian, but she also loved him deeply and won’t let Alexis act like there was no good in him at all.

Nikolas will probably realize he needs to shut down this argument before it turns into a bar brawl. All of this will be happening at Charlie’s Pub, so Nikolas may drag Ava away and point out there’s no need to cause a big scene.

However, Ava will lash out about how it’s her right to stand up for herself. That goes for Ava’s marriage and family as well, so she may wonder if Nikolas is really on her side as he claims.

GH spoilers suggest that Nikolas will manage to smooth things over eventually, so Ava and Nikolas’ relationship will get past this bump in the road.

In the meantime, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will give Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) updates on the mob battle spiraling out of control. Jax will insist he’s he’s going to take “her” away no matter how she feels about it, so he may think Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) needs to live in Australia for a while.

It’d no doubt be safer for Josslyn in the land down under, but Nina may wonder if Jax really wants to force her. Joss isn’t a child anymore; she’s a young woman – one who’s close to graduating high school and will soon be making all her own choices.

Josslyn also has friends and family that she would miss in Port Charles, so Nina may think Joss deserves to make this Australia choice for herself. Jax will find the advice surprising, but he may agree that he’s still treating Josslyn with kid gloves.

Perhaps Jax will ultimately agree that he can’t make unilateral decisions about Joss’ life anymore.

Over with Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry), she’ll get a visit from Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) at the PCPD. Portia will insist on seeing Marcus Taggert (Asante Jones) before he’s released from police custody.

Naturally, this will give Jordan a chance to apologize for leaving Portia and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) in the dark, but she may stand by her efforts to keep them safe along with Taggert.

General Hospital spoilers say Portia will lash out at Jordan again, but she’ll mostly just want to talk to Taggert. This is a family matter at this point, so she may want Jordan to butt out.

Once Portia eventually speaks with her ex, she’ll think Taggert needs to concentrate on how he’s going to fix his relationship with Trina. Taggert let his own daughter believe he was dead, so Trina doesn’t trust him and is furious about the pain she endured due to his lies.

Portia will know Taggert has a tough road ahead of him, but she’ll think he has to hang in there and find a way forward with Trina.

At home, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will maintain that she solved their Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) problem. As Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) grills Carly about what she did, a phone call will come in. Jason will realize Cyrus is there, so he’ll let the guards know they can allow Cyrus to approach.

Carly will think this is proof that her plan worked, so Jason will be more confused than ever. Once Carly opens the door, she’ll gleefully wonder how she can help Cyrus. General Hospital spoilers say Cyrus will dismiss the idea that Carly can help him at all.

It’ll be Jason that Cyrus wants to confront, so he’ll march right over to blast Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) right-hand man.

Cyrus will call Jason a “bastard” and demand to know where his mother is. Jason will have to play it cool and perhaps act like he was in the loop on Carly’s plot to kidnap Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) – that is if he admits to anything at all.

Carly may try to take the credit, but Jason might downplay Carly’s involvement to protect her.

Once Cyrus is gone, Carly will defend her extreme strategy to Jason. After giving Jason the news on how this kidnapping plot went down, Jason will rage over Carly blowing things up like this. Carly will maintain that she scored the necessary leverage.

She’ll feel like this will prevent Cyrus from moving against them, but Jason will think Carly only made the situation worse.

Cyrus is the kind of guy who orders a bomb to detonate in a restaurant full of people, including children. This baddie is as ruthless as they come, so Jason will have a bad feeling about Cyrus’ revenge plans.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will turn to Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) for assistance. Martin will listen to Laura’s plea for leverage on Cyrus, but it appears the conversation will take a shocking turn.

Cyrus will still be livid over his mother being stolen from her long-term care facility in Vermont, so he’ll be ready to play the blame game. It looks like Cyrus may point the finger at Laura since she knew where Florence was and just made a push for cooperation with each other.

Cyrus may accuse Laura of tipping Jason off and then putting on that whole charade at the Metro Court bar. Nevertheless, Laura will undoubtedly argue that she has no idea what Cyrus is talking about.

This is at least partially Laura’s fault since she spilled the beans to Carly about Cyrus’ mom and where she was located. Even so, Laura didn’t approve a move this bold and drastic. As for Martin, he’s not going to be pleased about Florence’s abduction and may wonder if he can truly trust his new half-sister!
