General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, April 29, teases that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will prove Laura Collins (Genie Francis) was right to worry about Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) deal with the devil. Cyrus has Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) back, but that doesn’t mean this partnership is over.
It looks like Cyrus will make that crystal clear to Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) during their next discussion. Cyrus will warn that things are never as simple as they seem with him – and that likely means he’ll tighten his grip on Nikolas instead of loosening it.
Now that Cyrus knows his threats will work, he can use Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) situation in his favor for the entirety of her prison stint.
That’s exactly why Alexis will rip into Nikolas when he comes to see her at Pentonville on Thursday’s General Hospital episode.
Nikolas will be amused as Alexis rants about knowing what he did for her. Alexis will hate the thought of Nikolas doing Cyrus’ bidding because he made some twisted agreement for her safety.
However, Nikolas won’t have any regrets since his priority was and will remain keeping Alexis protected behind bars.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will hope to gain the upper hand. She’ll get updates on Cyrus’ desire to have a relationship with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), so it appears she’ll want to work that angle.
If Laura acts like she’s willing to meet Cyrus halfway on this whole bonding thing, Cyrus might be more peaceful and could become distracted.
Carly will also seek out Brick (Stephen A. Smith), who was Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) security adviser and top surveillance expert before the mob boss’ presumed death.
Of course, Brick will remain loyal to Carly as well, so he’ll be honored to accomplish whatever task she asks him to. Carly will want to make sure Jason’s escape plot goes according to plan, so Brick may play an important role in helping things run smoothly.
As for Jason, he’ll take a moment to catch up with Danny Morgan (Porter Fasullo) at GH. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will arrange it so Danny can have a quick visit with his dad, so that’ll bring some tender scenes along with Danny’s questions.
Danny might fear that Jason will get injured again or even killed once he returns to prison.
Jason won’t want Danny to worry – and Sam will get the feeling that Jason doesn’t intend to go back to the slammer at all. She’ll quiz Jason about this hospital stay and her suspicion that it’s a setup.
Jason may admit that he was stabbed by a friend rather than a foe. He might also confess that he’s reluctantly going along with Carly’s wishes when it comes to this getaway plot.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will have an escape of her own in mind. She’ll be ready to leave in a hurry with someone, so she’ll push for packed suitcases with a sense of urgency.
Obrecht will be adamant about leaving the country, so Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) might be the travel partner she has in mind. If Liesl feels like they might get busted over Dr. Warren Kirk’s (Jamison Jones) deadly fate, she’d certainly have a motive to get them both out of town fast!
As for Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), she may have to reject Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) proposal. Joss will think they could both use a breather from Port Charles, but how can Trina go when Marcus Taggert’s (Réal Andrews) set to stand trial?
If Taggert gets convicted, these could be Trina’s last few weeks to hang out with her father.
It’s tough to imagine Trina wanting to give those precious weeks up since she doesn’t know what the future holds. Regardless, General Hospital spoilers say some danger’s coming up for Trina during May sweeps – and it looks like it’ll involve more mob mayhem.
In the meantime, Josslyn will resort to some deception. There’ll be some lie Joss tells to fool Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), so we’ll see how long she gets by with it. As other GH news emerges, we’ll fill you in.
