General Hospital Spoilers Update: Thursday, July 22 – Sam Embarrassed – Portia Wins, Jordan Loses – Peter’s Threat to Liz & Finn

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, July 22, teases that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will struggle with some embarrassment. We’ll also see Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) win while Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) loses – and Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) threat to Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will remain.

First, let’s talk about Sam and some mild humiliation she’ll face. It appears Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will bring up the Independence Day fiasco and leave Sam surprised that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) told his mother.

Sam might argue that the kiss was a mistake, but there’s a good chance Dante left that part out of the story!

We might see Sam blab the lip lock herself and add to the awkwardness of this conversation.

As for Dante, he’ll meet up with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and hear how things went in New York City.

Anna should offer the latest news regarding David Hopkins (Robert Leeshock) – or at least most of it. She’ll want Dante to keep the details private and may even withhold some information herself.

Anna knows there was a tall, nicely dressed man with longish hair on the GH rooftop with Peter. She also suspects that man wasn’t an ally.

Anna seemed to have a hunch it might be Finn based on her expression, but spoilers don’t technically have her cracking the case until Friday.

Of course, that could still mean Anna has a pretty good idea right now and will have an even stronger feeling about it on Thursday’s episode.

Regardless, Anna will fill Dante in on as much as she dares while Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) updates Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).

Just from the way Valentin talks about Anna, Brook Lynn will suspect there’s more than friendship going on. Valentin might confess that’d be true if it were up to him.

It’s Anna who’s dragging her feet, but Valentin doesn’t seem ready to throw in the towel just yet. He’s holding out hope that Anna will come around and surrender to their spark.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn will have a bonding session with Valentin and deal with a guilty conscience.

Brook Lynn will hate lying to Valentin about “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom), but she’ll keep telling herself the end justifies the means.

Over with Liz at GH, she’ll remain hopeful that the whole Peter problem can be put to rest. Finn won’t be so sure since monsters don’t truly die.

Finn will rather ominously talk about how those monsters can haunt you forever, so the show could be setting up Peter’s dramatic return from the dead!

In the meantime, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will find out Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) is choosing her over the mob.

That means Brando’s choosing the baby and their family’s future together as well, so Sasha should be pleased – even if she’s still a bit wary of Brando sticking to the plan.

Next, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) will push Jordan to remember that love’s worth fighting for.

Stella won’t think Jordan’s ready to give up on her marriage to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), so Jordan may admit Stella’s right.

This could lead to Jordan heading over to The Savoy’s opening night – perhaps with a powerful speech planned. Jordan might resolve to win Curtis back, but Portia’s already captured Curtis’ attention.

Curtis will think Portia’s timing is perfect, but it won’t be so perfect for Jordan if she spots them making out!

Jordan could at least spy Curtis and Portia in a close moment, so she’ll end this episode feeling defeated one way or another.

Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) has also been feeling a bit defeated due to his physical therapy setback, but he just achieved a small victory.

Chase was able to stand on the rehab bars, so he’ll hope to build on that progress. Unfortunately, Chase runs the risk of more setbacks if he overexerts himself.

Chase will focus on his desire for a wedding do-over with Willow Chase (Katelyn MacMullen), but his dreams will be derailed sooner or later.
