General Hospital Spoilers Update: Week of August 16 – Britt Hit Hard - Curtis Aids in Drew Search – Jax & Obrecht Alliance

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for the week of August 16-20 teases that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will face some difficult consequences while Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) helps with the search for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) answers. Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will also form an intriguing alliance, so let’s discuss what’s in store.

First, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will struggle to believe her ears after Drew Cain calls her phone. The number will be unknown, but Sam will hear Drew’s voice and recognize it almost instantly.

Of course, Sam will have a hard time believing it’s actually Drew since she believes he died in a plane crash, so she’ll need some other opinions on this.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may offer his own, but it’ll be Curtis who Sam ultimately turns to for assistance.

Dante’s juggling too many cases already, so Sam may hope Curtis can come out of PI retirement for the sake of a friend and help her with the Drew drama.

Speaking of drama, there’ll be plenty of it going on at Wyndemere. After Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) plays a dirty Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) trick on Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), his son will really be shaken up.

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will unleash her wrath on Nikolas for stooping so low in his effort to teach Spencer a lesson. On the bright side, the ordeal will bring Spencer and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) closer and just might result in a kiss.

We’ll see how it goes, but Spencer will definitely be touched by Trina’s compassion and warmth in the aftermath of his disastrous stalker exposure.

As for Ava Jerome (Maura West), she’ll make a desperate choice that’ll lead to disappointment for Nikolas. GH fans know Nikolas was hoping to get his marriage back and make Spencer understand how badly he messed up.

Unfortunately, Nikolas’ plans will go awry and leave him without much of a family for the time being.

Family will also be on Jax’s mind as he remains at odds with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) over their daughter. Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) safety will be Jax’s priority, but Carly will think Jax is going overboard on his complaints.

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will rush to Carly’s defense and ultimately agree to set a wedding date soon after. Carly and Jason will know it’s time to get the ball rolling on this ceremony before the Novaks strike again.

Back with Jax, he’ll form a surprising alliance with Obecht. Perhaps Liesl will be concerned about Britt’s old link to Jason putting her at risk, too. Regardless, Britt’s actions will come back to haunt her as some shocking consequences hit hard.

Elsewhere, it looks like Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will show Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) some signs of progress.

There’ll be a bittersweet turning point that sets up Willow’s decision to end things, but she won’t know Chase is already in the loop on her gatehouse steaminess with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

We’ll fill you in as other GH news and updates become available. General Hospital spoilers say Chase and Willow have some tough moments ahead of them, so keep watching for some heartbreaking scenes.
