General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, December 22 Recap – Maxie & Louise Reunite - Sasha & Brando’s Bittersweet Surprise

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 22, reveals that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) got a bittersweet surprise while Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Louise August aka “Bailey Quartermaine” (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt) reunited for Christmas.

At GH, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) had a rather flirty exchange with Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) when he showed up to volunteer with his clarinet. He convinced Epiphany to sing as they tried to spread Christmas cheer to the patients.

Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) met up with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), who mentioned Marshall approaching her when she was with Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) at the Metro Court.

Portia brought up the fact that Trina got past her own father faking his death and was off bonding with him, but Curtis insisted that wouldn’t happen with his dad.

Next, it was time for Sasha’s release. Since Sasha wasn’t supposed to be alone for the next 24 hours due to hospital policy, Brando begged her to come home with him. Sasha said she would, but she confirmed it’d only be for tonight.

Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) got the car ready in the parking garage, so that involved tossing the unused car seat in the trunk. Brando was eager to get Sasha home, but Gladys mentioned that they had a stop to make first.

In the Corinthos home, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) assured Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) that Brando and Sasha would be there.

Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) wasn’t happy over Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) dropping off a gift for Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) to the guard outside and made a call to confirm everything set for her preliminary hearing.

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) also shared a warm moment with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) as she admitted she wrote her a special letter.

Joss valued her sisters and considered Willow one now, so Willow was grateful to see what she’d been missing.

Brando and Sasha eventually arrived with Gladys, which brought some somber moments all around.

Willow knew it was cliché to say, but she understood what Sasha was going through and suggested Sasha would be able to live with the pain in time.

Willow gave Sasha a comforting hug – and Carly also offered one as she confirmed Sasha was family now.

Sonny reassured Brando about Liam Corbin being with Mike Corbin (Max Gail), so Brando got choked up as he agreed.

Brando also suggested he didn’t know how much they needed this night with the family until they got there.

Later, Brando joined Sasha outside and admitted he didn’t want to lose her.

Although Brando understood if he was too much of a painful reminder, he loved Sasha and hoped something good could come out of everything that happened.

Sasha assured Brando that she loved him too and thought Liam had given them a legacy together. Brando and Sasha shared a kiss before they gazed at the stars.

At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) place, she gathered with the Davis girls and Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore).

Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) wasn’t thrilled over the noisy musical instrument gifts Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri) and Danny Morgan (Zakary Risinger) received, but the others were enthusiastic.

Sam also endured some teasing about the embarrassment of riches she had when it came to the men in her life – namely Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). However, Sam made it clear that she was strictly co-parenting with Drew.

Shawn ultimately revealed that he was the new publisher of The Invader and talked about how he intended to take it in a positive direction.

Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) gave Alexis plenty of reassurance about finding her purpose as well.

Back at the Corinthos compound, Dante said he came by last year after learning Sonny secretly paid for his old house with Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan).

They talked about Sonny’s time away before Dante thanked him a year late for that gift and for coming home.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) snapped at Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) after flashing back to their time in the steam room.

Brook Lynn seemed wary of getting too close to Chase, but she ultimately settled down and decided there was a way to get her out of this foul mood.

Drew shared a cute moment with Scout, who gave him a hot pink scarf for Christmas. Danny also caught up with Drew, who offered his sympathy over Jason’s death.

Later, Danny sat with Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) and looked at a photo of Jason with his motorcycle. It was a bittersweet moment as Danny talked about how he’d ride one someday as well.

At Maxie’s place, she talked to Nina and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) about Wiley. Liesl felt sorry for Nina since she couldn’t spend time with her grandson for Christmas and thought Willow could help.

Nina suggested she couldn’t call in any more favors, but Obrecht felt like Willow wasn’t doing anything at all. She started to call Willow, but Nina got panicky after flashing back to Willow’s knowledge of the Nixon Falls secret.

Nina convinced Liesl to back off the idea, but it alerted Liesl to the fact that Willow must know what really happened in Nixon Falls.

When Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) showed up, Liesl suggested he should try to get Willow on the stand. Scott was uncertain about being able to make that happen and whether it’d even be worth the risk.

Back with Maxie, she told Nina that all she wanted for Christmas was for Peter August (Wes Ramsey) to die. Nina knew that would mean getting the best gift of all since Maxie could get Louise back.

Soon after, Chase and Brook Lynn brought “Bailey” aka Louise over in her little Christmas outfit. Maxie held “Bailey” and took comfort in getting to spend some time with her daughter for the holidays.

General Hospital spoilers say Maxie will get a permanent reunion with Louise down the road, so stay tuned.
