General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, July 21 Recap – Spencer Plays Matchmaker for Britt & Nikolas – Stella Pushes Jordan

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 21, reveals that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) played matchmaker for Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). As for Ava Jerome (Maura West), she warned Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) about bad boys!

At GH, Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) was excited to go out on the town with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) after work. She suggested the only place to be was opening night at The Savoy, but Portia kept making excuses and offering alternatives.

Terry eventually realized this was about Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), so she felt like Portia should give her former flame another shot.

In the end, Terry suggested Portia could either meet her at The Savoy for drinks or wait until she headed to the Metro Court later.

Speaking of the Metro Court, that’s where Nikolas listened as Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) talked to Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry).

Shawn remained determined to figure out who was behind Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig) shooting, but Nikolas crashed the conversation to grill Jordan about the stalker investigation.

When Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) crossed paths with Shawn, she insisted she had a few things to say to the man who killed her nephew, Thomas Ashford. Stella put Shawn on full blast, but Jordan eventually tried to intervene.

However, Stella argued that although she had made her peace with Jordan, that wouldn’t be the case with Shawn.

Stella later admitted to Jordan that lashing out didn’t ease her pain, but she just had to speak her mind.

Talk turned to Portia, so Jordan wondered what Stella was thinking when she told her to back off. Stella argued that she gave Jordan the opportunity to fight for her man and asked why she didn’t take it.

At The Savoy, Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) opened up to Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) about his troubles.

Spinelli admitted he’d lost his relationship of nine years because of his loyalty to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and the Corinthos organization.

Despite the danger and the price he was paying, Spinelli liked the challenge and didn’t want to walk away.

Brando also asked Curtis if a woman had ever given him an ultimatum, but Curtis wondered if that’s what Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was doing – or if she was just being honest about her feelings.

Curtis felt like Brando also had to be honest about what he wanted, so Brando reached the conclusion that there was really no choice – he wanted to be with Sasha. As for Curtis, he was pleasantly surprised when Portia walked in.

At the hospital, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) pushed himself too hard and stumbled during physical therapy.

After Willow Chase (Katelyn MacMullen) witnessed the fall, Chase wound up feeling frustrated back in his wheelchair.

Chase angrily insisted he didn’t want to be Willow’s patient and added that he wanted love, not pity. He didn’t think he could be the husband Willow needed and felt this wasn’t what she signed on for.

Sasha ran into Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) in the hallway, where she briefly touched on perhaps wanting different things than Brando did.

Michael and Sasha established that they were still friends who wanted to be there for each other.

When Sasha checked on Chase, he admitted he could tell she was holding back.

Chase asked if Willow confided anything in Sasha and felt like more was going on here. Sasha suggested Chase didn’t share all his feelings with Willow either and acted like it was normal to hold things in.

After Sasha left, Chase hoisted himself onto the bars for his rehab and once again struggled to walk. He told himself he could do this for Willow and was more successful in at least standing the next time around.

Back with Willow, Michael found her looking upset outside the hospital. Willow was sympathetic as she talked about how things went down with Chase. Even so, Michael didn’t like Chase taking his frustrations out on Willow.

As for their relationship, Michael assured Willow that he’d wait forever if he had to. He wanted a future with Willow and wasn’t going anywhere.

At the park, Ava convinced her bodyguard to be a bit less obtrusive and then met up with Trina. After Ava asked how things were going with “Victor” aka Spencer, Trina admitted he’d lied to her by omission.

Trina downplayed it since the lie didn’t directly affect her, so Ava thought it sounded like Trina wanted to give Victor a pass.

Ava surprised Trina by supporting that idea if it was what Trina wanted. However, Ava also offered a warning since “Victor” sounded like a bad boy.

Ava felt those kinds of guys could bring both excitement and trouble!

At the Metro Court pool, Britt had a happy reunion with Spencer. They took some time to catch up before Britt walked over to the bar for drinks. Spencer took a call from Nikolas and made sure his father came up there to see Britt.

While Spencer was off changing clothes, it became obvious to Britt and Nikolas that Spencer been trying to play matchmaker.

Nikolas was sorry about hurling stalker accusations not too long ago, but Britt eventually reconvened with Spencer to scold him for playing Cupid.

Spencer was just eager for Nikolas to put his farce of a marriage behind him and move on.
