General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, March 10 Recap – Maxie Dumps Peter - Franco Visits Cameron – Sonny Sells Wedding Ring

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, March 10, reveals that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) dropped by the Corinthos home to deliver some big news to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

Laura confessed that the FDA block had been successful, so Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) won’t be able to legally market his drug through GH.

However, this also concerned Laura since Cyrus is wounded and that makes him dangerous. Laura noted that if Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) were still around, he’d tell them to pray for peace and prepare for war.

Soon after, Laura got a text about Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) being shot and killed, so she gave Carly updates.

At The Tan-O, Sonny and Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) discussed how they were working to repair the damage done by the recent vandalism. Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) had a loud phone conversation about trying to get an extension on the mortgage.

Lenny acknowledged that he used to take in borders for extra income, but that option wasn’t available right now.

Sonny overheard and piped up that they should rent his room, but Phyllis wouldn’t hear of it. She had another idea instead and called Mr. Drummond so she could sell her wedding china to the pawn shop.

When Lenny realized what Phyllis had in mind, he flipped out and insisted it wasn’t happening.

Sonny could sniff this Drummond fella out from a mile away. He suspected that Mr. Drummond would give Phyllis a lowball offer since she’s desperate and then hike up the price when she wanted to buy her china back.

Instead, Sonny wondered how much Dr. Drummond would give him for his rings, including his wedding band.

Dr. Drummond wondered where a drifter like Sonny would get rings like those, but Sonny worked out a deal for $250 and urged Mr. Drummond to write up the pawn ticket. Since Dr. Drummond mentioned weekly card games, Sonny figured that price was good enough to secure him a seat at the table.

Back in Port Charles, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) visited Cameron Webber (William Lipton) at home and got updates on how Franco lunged at Cam after a bad dream.

Cameron insisted it was an overreaction and was worried about Franco checking into Shadybrook soon. Joss encouraged Cameron to call Franco, so he did – and the phone rang in dead Franco’s pocket across town.

Cameron left a message about how he had to say some things that should’ve been said before. He pushed Franco to call him back as deceased Franco’s head was covered with a sheet.

Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) was summoned to the PCPD, so he left the “squirrels” aka Joss and Cam to have fun on their own.

At the police station, Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) wondered how Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) could be sure Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was guilty since Liz didn’t see him pull the trigger.

Liz explained the deadly deal Franco made with Jason and argued that Jason’s actions spoke for themselves.

In the interrogation room, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) tried questioning Jason without his lawyer present, but Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) blew in and quickly tried to work her magic.

Mac wondered how Jason could explain being at the scene of the crime. He found it hard to believe Jason would just stop by the art studio because he was such great pals with Franco. “I did not kill Franco,” Jason finally declared.

Once Josslyn came home, she worried to Carly about Cam and his latest Franco crisis. Carly eventually noted that it was good Josslyn was so close to Cameron – because Joss is going to have to be there for him.

Josslyn was shocked as Carly admitted Franco was shot and is now dead.

At GH, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) questioned Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) about their baby as well as Maxie herself. Peter pushed Maxie to come away with him tonight and prove everyone wrong.

Peter argued that they could be a family – just Peter, Maxie, James West (Curtis and Owen Rufca) and Baby Lou. Peter insisted they’d figure out a way for Maxie to still see Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher).

After Peter insisted the past can’t touch them anymore, he argued that he made sure of it. Peter had a flashback of standing over bloody Franco and deleting the recorded confession.

Peter wiped the phone clean in that flashback and put it back in Franco’s pocket. “Goodbye, Franco. Wish I could say it was nice knowing you,” Peter said.

Back in the present, Maxie wondered what Peter meant when he said the past can’t touch them. Out in the hall, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) got a pep talk from Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) as she worried about Peter spinning some alternate reality to Maxie – one where Peter was the victim.

Anna feared Maxie wanted to be persuaded by Peter.

At the PCPD again, Laura comforted Liz and convinced Jordan to ask the rest of her questions tomorrow. Laura also found out that Jason was under suspicion, but she didn’t see to buy it.

Once Scott arrived, Laura had to break the news that Franco was shot and killed. Scott was devastated as he recalled losing three kids and argued there should be a law that a parent can’t outlive a child.

Over with Cameron, he was surprised when Franco walked through the door. Franco told Cameron that he’d left some things unsaid, too. Franco felt like Cameron changed his world along with Liz and Cam’s brothers.

Although Franco never thought he’d have children and never wanted them, the “Friz” fam changed his mind. They made Franco believe he could be a better person – and for a while, he was.

Cameron argued that Franco was still that person. He assured Franco that he was a great dad. Franco told Cameron that he loved him and insisted he should never forget that.

After giving Cam a hug, Franco went out the door – and Cameron chased after him before waking up on the sofa. General Hospital fans learned the whole Franco encounter was dream, but Cam was convinced it really happened.

Once Elizabeth came in, she sat down and revealed that something terrible happened. Cameron was in total denial when he found out Franco was dead, but Liz insisted it was true – and that it wasn’t from the tumor.

Elizabeth explained that someone shot Franco, so Cam cried hysterically and demanded to know who did it.

After Liz held Cameron close, he calmed down and assured her that he’d help tell his brothers in the morning. At the police station again, Jordan took over questioning for Mac.

Jordan brought up the murder deal and wanted to know if Jason had taken preemptive action by killing Franco tonight.

Meanwhile, Scott shouted about how Franco was fighting for his life! He looked at Jason in the interrogation room and eventually barged in ranting at him. Scott tried to attack Jason before he was dragged away.

Diane noted that since Scott’s grieving, they won’t be pressing assault charges at this time. Jordan insisted that if Jason had something to say, he should say it now while she can still help him.

However, Jason was done and was allowed to go – though he was told not to leave town. Scott was outraged and barked out a warning to Jason as he left.

Back with Peter, he insisted that he took care of things like he always would for Maxie and their family. Maxie took Peter’s hand, so he said he knew she would choose him.

Peter started making plans about getting Maxie out of the hospital. He promised they’d put the pain and anguish behind them.

Maxie argued that she wished Peter could know the pain and anguish she felt when she thought she was losing this baby. After snatching her hand away, Maxie insisted she’d make sure their little girl stays safe.

Maxie noted that she loved Peter, but the man she loved never existed. It was all an act, and Peter almost got away with it. Maxie declared that she wasn’t going away with Peter – not now, not ever.

Mac stormed in and warned Peter to leave before he brought up Franco getting shot and killed. Anna was surprised to learn Jason was a person of interest.

Back with Carly, Joss wondered if Carly would ever be able to take off her rings. Carly wasn’t sure and noted that part of her would always feel like she’s married to Sonny. Josslyn and Carly had a touching moment as Carly admitted her children made grief more bearable.

General Hospital spoilers say Peter will face more tight spots as this storyline heats up, so stay tuned. CDL’s your go-to source for fantastic General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so pop back in soon.
