General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, October 20 Recap – Michael Plots Criminal Charges for Nina – TJ Meets ‘Marshall’

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 20, reveals that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) plotted criminal charges for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in Pennsylvania while TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) met “Marshall” (Robert Gossett). Here’s how it all went down on Wednesday’s fantastic show.

At The Savoy, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) listened to Nina’s troubles and offered a pep talk about moving beyond the past since he had done the same.

Nina felt like she indeed had to move on from all the Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) drama and hoped she could make these chats with Curtis a more regular thing.

At GH, the mystery man approached TJ claiming to have a pain in his side. TJ insisted on examining the man, who paused when asked for his name. The man seemingly came up with the name “Marshall” on the spot.

In the exam room, “Marshall” quizzed TJ about his family as well as his girlfriend. He was particularly interested to hear about Uncle Curtis (Donnell Turner) and how proud he was of TJ.

“Marshall” thought TJ’s family seemed like a close-knit bunch, so he touched TJ’s arm and urged him to hold onto that.

Although TJ saw no real cause for concern, he dashed off to get another doctor for a second opinion just in case. When TJ returned, “Marshall” was already gone.

Curtis eventually arrived to pick TJ up for a late-night movie and learned a patient bailed while waiting.

TJ seemed uneasy, but Curtis thought maybe the man just felt better and took off. At the top of the stairs above them, “Marshall” spied on Curtis and TJ’s conversation.

After some awkward moments, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) accepted Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) offer to be a team for trivia night.

Liz suggested it was a date before getting flustered and adding she didn’t mean it like that.

Finn decided maybe it could be a date and thought perhaps they should stop acting like a couple of high schoolers.

Finn wondered if maybe they should give what was happening between them a real chance, so Liz was receptive to the idea.

Meanwhile, Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) got updates on Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) leaving town to track down missing Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Soon after, Terry was taken aback over a phone call she received.

That led to Terry delivering some news to Liz out in the hallway. Terry revealed that she’d gotten a call from Liz’s father, Jeff Webber. She added that she told Jeff she wouldn’t be a go-between for them, but she seemed hopeful that they could talk.

Liz dashed off while putting on a brave face, but Terry told Finn that he’d have to seek any family drama details from Liz herself.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) wondered if Michael was really OK with being Nina’s boss.

Willow argued that no one would blame Michael for removing himself from the situation, but he pointed out he hadn’t done anything wrong. Michael thought Nina should be the one to remove herself if someone was going to.

Michael also admitted he thought about trying to push Nina out of Crimson, but he realized that wouldn’t solve the main issue of Nina’s presence in Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Caleb and Kyler Ends) life.

Willow pointed out that trying to keep Wiley from Nina could lead to a court battle, but Michael was honestly OK with that if it meant keeping Nina away from his son.

In that case, Willow decided she would ask Michael to reconsider. She managed to talk Michael off the ledge and helped him see that a court battle wasn’t the best way to go.

Once Willow left, Michael spoke to someone running for Pennsylvania Attorney General over the phone. He said his family was still interested in donating to the campaign, but he was there was one wrinkle to iron out first.

Michael was concerned about a crime in the jurisdiction that hadn’t been prosecuted yet. He added that it involves a woman named Nina Reeves.

Elsewhere, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) wondered if Austin Gatlin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) ELQ fight was really worth giving up his medical career over.

Austin was suspicious and felt like maybe Maxie was more invested than she previously seemed to be.

Maxie denied that and convinced Austin to come have a drink with her at the Port Charles Grill, where Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) were in the middle of a quarrel over Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda).

Once Olivia realized Austin was there, she chewed him out for meddling and warned him to steer clear of Leo. Olivia stomped off, so Ned mentioned that another doctor backed up Austin’s hunch.

Ned was surprised to learn about Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) HIPAA violation scheme and offered an apology since he had faith in Austin’s medical expertise.

After Ned caught up with Olivia, she complained about Leo needing to be himself and do things his way.

Olivia didn’t like the Quartermaines’ penchant for throwing money at problems and wasn’t keen on getting a specialist for Leo.

Next, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) awkwardly interrupted Sonny and Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) conversation in the Corinthos living room.

After Sonny had a flashback to when he declared love for Nina, he assured Carly and Jason he wanted to put the past to rest.

Jason revealed that he was leaving Port Charles to help Britt for a while, so that led to a discussion about Peter August (Wes Ramsey), Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and the search for Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati).

Carly couldn’t figure out why Peter hadn’t used his knowledge of Sonny’s survival to his advantage.

Once Britt showed up, she let Jason know she’d wait for him in the foyer. Sonny was eager to move past the awkward situation with Jason and Carly, so he suggested not talking about any of that again.

Carly was just glad to have everything out in the open now, but GH fans know Sonny’s still keeping his Nina romance under wraps!

Finally, Jason was taken aback over the Porsche waiting outside – and Britt confirmed that she’d be driving.

General Hospital spoilers say Jason and Britt will grow closer on their trip to Greece, so don’t miss what’s in store.
