General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 1, reveals that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) went on a horrible date while Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) plotted a wedding attack. Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) also had a parachute landing, so let’s talk about how things played out.
At the campsite, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) nearly shared a kiss with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) before a noise interrupted them. They quickly realized a man was tangled up in a parachute after falling from a plane.
Wyatt Hoover (Patrick J. Gibbons) the PC Pioneer appeared and helped untangle the knots before the man was flipped over.
Liz and Finn determined that it was none other than unconscious Scott! While Liz worked to coax Scott awake, Wyatt got on the phone and summoned paramedics.
Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) stayed behind with the kids while Finn and Liz accompanied Scott to the hospital. Finn mentioned having a tox screen done since if the results were as they anticipated, Scott was given something before he was pushed out of the plane.
Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) wondered if Scott was up for questions and asked him about the last thing he remembered. Scott talked about his private flight to St. Lucia and how they’d taken a nosedive before putting oxygen masks on.
Scott worried about Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and hoped she was at the hospital, too.
Back with Wyatt, he found Liesl’s locket in the woods. At the Metro Court, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) decided to pay Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) a visit and see if he could help figure out who Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) connection might be.
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) wanted to send a guard along with Carly, so she wondered if she should be worried.
However, Jason made it clear that he wouldn’t tolerate Carly being threatened, so she gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek – just in time for Britt to step off the elevator and see.
Britt spoke with Jason alone afterward and admitted she didn’t see what they were trying to prove with an event of this magnitude, but she urged Jason not to say anything and felt she should move on.
Afterward, Britt went on a terribly boring date where the guy wouldn’t stop talking about home brewing systems – and Jason gave them a glare nearby.
Britt made up a hospital emergency to cut the date short, but Jordan called with an actual one once Britt was on the elevator.
After Britt got the scoop on the missing Liesl mystery and caught up with Scott, she was deeply concerned.
At Brando’s garage, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) showed up and flirted with him before he mentioned the idea of getting a place together – a temporary one until he could afford something better.
Sasha didn’t know Brando was ready for a step like that, but argued they were both busy people and this would be a place to hang out after they stopped being busy.
Although Sasha seemed receptive to the suggestion, she grew worried about the “side gigs” Brando mentioned to make extra money.
Once Carly showed up looking for Brando’s help, Sasha excused herself to the ladies’ room – though she returned and listened in on the end of the conversation. Sasha still seemed concerned about Brando being caught up in mob drama.
As for Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), she vented to Vincent Novak (Glenn Taranto) about Carly being a gold digger and throwing herself at Jason practically at Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) wake.
Gladys also mentioned Jason being interested in a GH doctor around the same time, which intrigued Vincent.
Though Gladys disapproved of Jason and Carly’s union, she was still miffed over not being invited to the wedding. Vincent invited Gladys to be his plus one – and later, she showed up drunk at Brando’s garage to spread the news to Carly, Brando and Sasha.
In prison, Cyrus talked to Mr. Buscema (Burt Tangredi) about the wedding being the perfect time to strike and take down the Corinthos organization.
Mr. Buscema admitted it was risky, but Cyrus felt that with risk comes great reward and offered to coordinate the takeover personally from behind bars.
Mr. Buscema wondered what was in it for Cyrus, who suggested that he was first and foremost an opportunist. Of course, Cyrus confessed he was really after revenge.
In Nixon Falls, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) gushed over Sonny’s great sauce before cleaning a stain out of his shirt with club soda.
Sonny eventually moved in close and then led Nina to his bedroom, where they laughed over his watch getting caught in her hair.
Once Nina looked at the watch’s inscription, it brought her back to reality. Nina said she couldn’t do this and felt like “Mike” needed to find out who he really was despite his protests.
Back in Port Charles, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) quizzed Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) about his issues with Carly marrying Jason.
Jax admitted this was really about Josslyn’s safety, but she pointed out she’d gotten used to the bodyguard and added that Cameron Webber (William Lipton) had been cool about it.
Once it was time for the first dish of Josslyn’s special dinner, she got a strange look on her face after tasting the sauce Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) got in Nixon Falls.
Jax pushed Joss to share what was wrong, so she eventually admitted it tasted exactly like Sonny’s. It was unique since it had a spicy kick and was smoky as well.
Josslyn eventually decided that was crazy since it couldn’t be Sonny’s sauce, but Jax remembered when he was on the gurney in Nixon Falls after getting shot.
Jax looked unsettled over the memory of a blurry Sonny coming into view.
