General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Cameron Mathison is headed to GH in a role that remains a mystery. The show’s staying tight-lipped about who exactly Mathison will be playing, so fans are enjoying the speculation and anxiously awaiting the drama this character will bring to Port Charles.
However, we know General Hospital has been on the hunt for an actor to play Vincent “Vince” Novak. Some leaked casting sides point to the addition of Vince, who’s part of the dangerous Novak mob family in town. It’s possible the show searched before settling on Mathison to play Vince in this upcoming storyline.
We could buy Mathison as a slick mobster and a new foe for the other main mob men in town. Here’s what we know about Vince Novak so far – at least based on the casting sides.
This character will track down Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), who’ll meet Vincent and learn all his friends call him “Vince.”
Vince will praise Spinelli for being such a whiz with technology and will try to recruit him. It sounds like the Novaks will need a resident tech geek, so they’ll try to steal Spinelli away from his loyalty to Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) organization.
Spinelli is obviously quite loyal to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) as well, so there’s no chance he’ll actually take Vince up on this offer – not for real anyway! Still, there could be a scenario where Spinelli goes undercover and pretends to help Vince.
On the other hand, Spinelli might reject the offer on the spot and insist he wants nothing to do with this rival mob family. It all depends on how Spinelli wants to play this and what he believes will benefit Sonny’s organization the most.
Vince could rile up Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) in a big way, so Spinelli might have to consider that as part of his strategy. Of course, keeping any looming danger under control might become the priority!
It’s possible that the details will change by the time they hit the screen, but Vince’s introduction to Port Charles sounds intriguing. If Mathison ends up being the one to play Vince on General Hospital, he’ll become a crucial mob player in PC and make some risky moves.
