In tonight’s LPBW episode, the new pregnancy was received very well. Everyone congratulated Tory and Zach about their new pregnancy and they couldn’t wait to meet their child. However, there were months before the baby came. The family had plenty of other things to do in the interim and Zach for one had a plan. He was going to clean up the forest area.

He wanted to clean it up so that the kids could play there one day and while he was doing that he unearthed the old camping area. He and his family used to sit around the campfire roasting marshmallows. They stopped doing that as they got older and so the campground was abandoned. Zach wanted to bring it back for his own kids. He loved the older areas at the farm. He loved the nostalgia while his father was the builder.

Matt loves building new things. He loves new attractions and Zach didn’t take after him. Zach prefers the more abandoned areas. He likes maintaining them and maintenance was going to be a big deal if he took over running the farm one day. Zach and Tori haven’t made the decision yet whether they were going to move on the farm. They sorta pushed that discussion while they focused on other things and until they make a decision, the farm and who it goes to remain in limbo. The whole family loves the farm. Amy was even having her wedding at the farm and both she and her fiancé were busy getting their wedding favors together. The two of them were going to hand out painted rocks.

Amy thought painted rocks was a great idea because it holds great memories for her. Only Chris didn’t really like the idea. He thought they should give their guests something more than just rocks and he not so secretly thought painting them was a waste of time. He tried to tell Amy as much. She ignored him. She’s been doing that a lot with the wedding details and this is the one thing that Chris feels outspoken about.

He doesn’t like the idea of the painted rock. He thought the guests weren’t going to get it. He himself didn’t get it. He tried to say as much to Amy and she completely dismissed him. The only time Amy didn’t ignore his wishes was when he pet fish Henry died. Henry was with Chris for five years and it had been sad when he died.

After the fish passed away, the couple went out and bought a new fish. The new fish was called “King Henry the Fifth” also dubbed Henry. The new fish was their first pet together as a couple and so they celebrated it. Then they got to talking about the rocks again. Amy wanted Chris to wash the rocks for her. She wanted to clean them before she painted them and Chris did give her a timeline.

He told me when he could get around to washing the rocks. It just wasn’t fast enough for Amy and so they had a dispute. Amy found Chris to be nitpicking. She pushed him until he agreed to clean the rocks on her timetable and Chris hadn’t been happy about it. Up until then, he hadn’t mentioned how much he hated the rock idea and so that “dispute” brought the situation up.

Amy had ordered some rocks. The rocks were a bit too small for her and so the couple went to several stores to find more rocks that were flatter and rounder and they got to talking. Chris saw how dedicated Amy was to find the perfect rocks. He also helped her find the rocks she needed and so he admired how much effort Amy was putting into it. Amy also liked Chris participating.

She didn’t get that last time when she was getting married. Matt pretty much left everything to her and she was therefore glad not to go through that again. She now has a partner. It made her more appreciative of Chris and so the dispute was resolved. It was okay that Chris didn’t get the rock thing. What was important was that he was there with her, helping her, and supporting her.

A few weeks later, tragedy struck. Zach and Tori learned they lost the baby. They found out after their first ultrasound and it was just unfortunate all the way around. Everyone was heartbroken. They had all envisioned this new baby and how much joy it was going to bring to the world and then that dream was taken from them. Matt and Caryn didn’t know what to do to help.

They wanted to be supportive and they didn’t know if they should smother the couple with love or let them grieve in peace. They ultimately decided to cook up a few meals. They were going to deliver them knowing that the couple wouldn’t want to focus on cooking anytime soon but other than that both sets of grandparents left the grieving couple to themselves.

They all knew that Zach and Tori would want to focus on their children right now. Their son Jackson has been acting up lately. He was apparently getting jealous about the attention Lilah was getting and so the couple was already dreading how he would react to the new baby when the worst happened to them. They lost the child. They grieved and they focused on their kids. Tori and Zach do regret telling everyone early. They literally started telling people after they found out and now in hindsight, they realized that maybe they should have waited after their first trimester. They also realized they should have figured out something was wrong when Tori’s morning sickness went away.

She was sick for the first weeks. Then in the leadup to the appointment, she began feeling better and she hadn’t thought anything of it until they found out they lost the baby. They were told nothing they did to cause it. It was just one of those things that happened sometimes without reason. And now the couple is supporting each other through this difficult time.

THE END!
