Thomas is guilty because of the last interaction he had with Vinny. As viewers recall, Thomas and John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) had it out with LoCicero’s character in the hospital laboratory.
Vinny was scared that the paternity test rigging reveal would cause him to lose his job and also be sought by the authorities. Both of his fears later proved true after he literally ran out of the lab. Of course, something far worse happened after Vinny was released on bail.
There is no doubt that Thomas has worked hard to achieve a general even-keel. But the unresolved nature of Vinny’s death has understandably disrupted his course and may jeopardize redemption plans if he doesn’t keep himself in check.

Hope has been encouraging Liam to trust her and to be honest. Brooke will also seek the same forthrightness from Noelle’s character.
