The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) projected to be out of work at Forrester Creations. That was a natural conclusion, considering what happened with Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer). But Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) legendary forgiveness trait is teased to change the expected outcome.
Oh, Quinn Fuller, whose name was shortened since the last paragraph, in a sign of days to come, will be out on her ear. She won’t survive Eric’s bloodletting, which follows the declarative statement made at Queric’s vow renewal fail.
For Eric to keep Carter on at FC stretches the suspension of disbelief scenario. However, it still works because of who McCook’s iconic character is and due to the deeper symbol he represents.

Underneath Eric’s anger, embarrassment, and disappointment is the recognition of something else, commiseration. Eric feels that he’s broken the spell Quinn cast on him. He sees that Carter was transfixed by it as well.
Eric doesn’t believe that his marriage to Quinn was all bad. There were good times and he knows that, in her own way, Sofer’s character did care for him. But she’s proven incapable of maintaining any sense of self-control.
As for Carter’s betrayal of trust, Eric is the one person who can commiserate with him. He knows how it feels to be overwhelmed by the power of Quinn’s beautiful eyes and dulcet tones.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Keeping The Fashion House In Order
Eric is playing off his personal instincts in allowing Carter to retain his position as FC’s lead counsel and seat on the Board of Directors, that was gained last summer. Saint-Victor’s character would likely have been fired without a challenge if anyone other than the co-founder of FC was impacted.
However, Eric is a brilliant businessman. He and his late wife, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) developed an idea into reality.
FC’s embodiment of good business involves a belief in the future, verses the defeatist, personality based notion that success isn’t possible because all of life is a rigged game where only the privileged win.
The greatness of McCook’s character is that he’s persisted and is resilient. One of the reasons Eric was willing to offer Quinn so many second chances is because he’s failed in the past, but rebounded.
That’s why offering Carter a second chance makes sense.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Taking Quinn’s Portrait Down
A great soapy scene will have Eric taking Quinn’s portrait down and giving it to Carter. Yes, Eric is allowed to be mad, as he’s driven by the outlandish behavior Quinn exhibited and her bold ask of further forgiveness that was based on nothing.
The end of Queric implied that Carter’s professional fashion run was done as well. But no, it’s not.
Quinn wasn’t the only villain in this engaging storyline, as Carter was wrong as well. But Sofer’s alter ego was, by far, the greater offender.
