The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) nefarious return could rattle Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle). Will Hope’s dad get out of prison and show up ready to reconnect? Let’s discuss the buildup to a mysterious comeback and mull over whether it’s Deacon who’ll make his presence known.
For starters, a major return has been in the works for a while now. Fall preview spoilers hinted at a comeback bombshell that would cause some challenges for Liam and Hope.
There was an emphasis on family drama in the preview info, so that led to speculation that perhaps Hope’s father was coming back in the picture.
Now there’s some new info that seemingly supports the idea. SOD confirms that a “nefarious” character will shake things up in the coming weeks on the CBS soap. Of course, that particular word choice seems like a huge clue.
Deacon could certainly be considered nefarious, and he would inevitably cause some family drama with his return following a prison release.
The Logans and Forresters will be thrown into turmoil over the comeback that’s brewing, so it’s easy to see how Deacon could shake up the canvas again – particularly since this would pull Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) into the story.
Brooke will want to protect Hope if Deacon is back, so that’ll make Ridge determined to protect her, too.
Ridge and Brooke are a team – and no one will understand the situation better than Ridge if Deacon indeed comes around looking for a father-daughter reconnection.
We’ve seen Ridge concerned about the threat Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) poses to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) as well as Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot).
Sheila wants to bond with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and her grandson, so Ridge has been worried about this birth mom’s obsession.
B&B’s goal may be to do a similar storyline where Hope is also dealing with a fixated parent – perhaps one who wants to get a little too close to the kids and embrace Grandpa status.
Like Sheila, Deacon might insist he’s a changed man and count on Hope to give him another chance.
There’s no confirmation on the mysterious visitor who’ll show up starting the week of October 4-8, but Deacon remains a great option to consider.
