The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) may soon be taking on a big and important role. As B&B viewers know, Finn recently tore into Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) after Liam showed up at Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) place unexpectedly.
Finn was sure to let Liam know that life as he knew it was about to change drastically.
Of course, some of Finn’s hostility toward Liam is coming purely from the fact that Liam and Steffy had an affair. Finn’s got some anger to get off his chest for sure.
But Finn also feels like Liam has grossly mistreated Steffy by drawing her into his personal life and specifically into his marriage to Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle). As far as Finn’s concerned, Steffy just doesn’t need that drama.
And especially since the loss of Liam was partly the reason for her addiction to opioid painkillers, Finn’s probably worried about Steffy’s well-being if Liam continues to cling to her as a friend and a confidante when things are going wrong in his marriage to Hope.
Finn just doesn’t think that’s appropriate, and he’s more than willing to set Liam straight.
But soon, it seems that Finn might have the opportunity to protect Steffy from some other negative events – the attacks that are going to come from Hope and from Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang).
According to The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers, Brooke is going to be furious when she finds out that Steffy and Liam slept together and that Steffy is pregnant.
And knowing Brooke, she’ll probably corner Steffy at some point and lay into her about sleeping with Liam and the effect that it’s had on Hope. One wonders if Finn will be around during this exchange and what he’ll do.
Something tells us that he won’t want Steffy under stress during her pregnancy, and he might just take on Brooke and tell her politely but firmly to back off.
In fact, the days of Steffy’s choices and mistakes being openly and loudly judged by Brooke and Hope could be numbered now that Finn’s on the scene.
Of course, Steffy can handle herself well, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt for her to have a strong advocate by her side always – someone who will always be on her side and defend her point of view.
One wonders exactly how Finn will handle family conflict involving Steffy, Hope, and Brooke, but something tells us that he won’t back down to Hope’s and Brooke’s demands and characterizations of events the way that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Liam tend to do on a regular basis.
We’ll see what happens here, but we expect to see Finn step in to be Steffy’s protector and advocate going forward. Finn certainly doesn’t seem to be the type to let a nasty comment toward Steffy just go without saying something, that’s for sure!
