The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Friday, December 17 Recap – Brooke Accuses Taylor of Brainwashing Ridge & Abandoning Family

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, December 17, reveals that Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) accused Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) of brainwashing Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and abandoning her family when they needed her most.

At the cliff house on Friday’s B&B episode, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) obsessed over Brooke before deciding she should be focusing on Taylor. Taylor thought Steffy was just concerned about her father’s marriage – and Taylor had to admit she was concerned, too.

Taylor wasn’t keen on seeing Brooke, but she was eager to catch up with Eric Forrester (John McCook). Steffy grumbled about Eric putting up with Quinn Forrester’s (Rena Sofer) behavior while Ridge put up with Brooke’s and wasn’t sure which one was worse.

Talk turned to Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and how Steffy was glad Taylor didn’t have to deal with that wedding reception drama. Taylor wasn’t sure she was worthy of having Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot) named after her, but Steffy insisted she was.

Taylor reflected on what a great man John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) was. She had nothing against Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), but she was glad Steffy had the strength to walk away from that “dysfunctional thing” with Liam and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).

Steffy thought it was crazy how they both lost their husbands to a Logan. “Stolen by! That’s the Logan way,” Taylor declared.

Steffy wasn’t complaining since she found Finn and was happy for “Lope” for the most part, but she hated that Liam had to deal with all the Deacon chaos. She felt Hope didn’t care just like Brooke didn’t care what this was doing to Ridge.

Steffy felt like Ridge needed Taylor’s help and knew her mom still had feelings for him. Taylor didn’t think it was her place to get involved, but she admitted that Ridge would always be the love of her life.

At Brooke’s house, Ridge thought Deacon was delusional enough to think he’d actually have a relationship with his wife. Brooke piped up that Ridge was overreacting, but Ridge kept at it and wanted to know where Deacon was living if it wasn’t with Sheila.

Deacon admitted he was living in the storage closet of the bar he was working at. He clarified that he wasn’t drinking and reiterated that he wasn’t “shacking up” with Sheila.

Ridge argued that Deacon chose to work a bar so he could pass on a cot when he got drunk, but Brooke defended Deacon and didn’t think he had to explain his job.

Deacon excused himself before things got more heated and wound up at the cabin for Hope’s next karate lesson. Hope suggested doing it outside, so Deacon warned that the situation between Ridge and Brooke was tense up at the main house.

Soon after, Hope and Deacon listened in on Brooke’s argument with Ridge. Brooke pointed out that she had issues with Taylor just like Ridge had issues with Deacon. Ridge countered the difference was that Deacon just got out of prison while Taylor comes and goes because she’s helping people.

“Yeah, she comes and goes all right!” Brooke fired back. Ridge asked what that was supposed to mean, so Brooke ranted about Taylor leaving them to deal with all the family mayhem – like when Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) first started having problems and Steffy got hooked on pills.

Brooke also mentioned Hope stepping up to take care of Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), so Ridge said that was something to revisit. He argued that Thomas was better and should be his kid’s primary caregiver.

Brooke decided Taylor had brainwashed Ridge into feeling that way, but Ridge felt Deacon was the only one doing any brainwashing. After Brooke and Ridge bickered some more, Ridge left to take a drive and get some air.

Deacon assured Hope that he didn’t want this and approached Brooke with her once Ridge was gone. Brooke admitted to Hope and Deacon that she hated arguing with Ridge like this.

Brooke headed up to the bedroom alone, where she called Ridge and got his voicemail. Brooke then gazed at a framed “Bridge” photo and thought back on romantic memories.

Back downstairs, Deacon felt he was the problem and offered to go. Hope thought she was the problem instead since she wanted a relationship with her dad. She suggested she just had to have faith that Ridge and Brooke’s love would get them through.

At the cliff house again, Taylor was alone as she thought back to the “Tridge” family group hug. She turned around to find Ridge had entered and smiled at him tenderly.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Ridge and Taylor’s reconnection poses a serious threat to his marriage, so stay tuned!
