The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Friday, July 30 Recap – Quinn Says Too Old for Carter – Jack's Hiding Something Big

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, July 30, reveals that Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) feared she was too old for Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and insisted she couldn’t offer children. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) also addressed his missing history after dropping an adoption bomb on Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

At the loft on Friday’s B&B episode, Quinn smelled a discarded shirt of Carter and texted that she needed to see him. Quinn smiled to herself once she sent the message.

At Forrester Creations, Carter walked in the office and soon faced questions about Quinn. He checked the text and confirmed to Eric Forrester (John McCook) that he heard about Quinn stopping by earlier.

Carter didn’t have any news on the divorce, but he warned that these things take time. He also offered to send a strongly worded reminder to Quinn about staying away from the building.

Brooke wanted the divorce moved along and felt Carter would have to play dirty for Eric’s sake. She insisted it was Carter’s job to stick it to Quinn.

Once Carter left, Eric offered updates to Brooke and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) on his tense conversation with his soon-to-be ex-wife.

Eric admitted that despite the pain Quinn had caused, he had to take some responsibility for constantly valuing Brooke over Quinn.

Ridge grew agitated over Quinn trying to justify sleeping with another man – and Brooke was concerned about Eric letting himself get manipulated.

After Brooke pointed out that Eric didn’t like being alone, she expressed the importance of getting the divorce finalized as soon as possible.

“No more conversations with Quinn. She’s trouble – and you know it!” Brooke warned.

Brooke pushed Eric to let the lawyers handle all communication and added that Quinn was in Carter’s hands now, not Eric’s.

Back with Quinn, she poured herself a drink and thought back on fond Eric memories.

After Carter returned home, he was eager to find out the reason he’d been summoned. Quinn smiled and wondered if Carter really had to ask.

After Quinn admitted she couldn’t stop thinking about Carter, she reflected on everything that happened with Eric.

Carter pointed out that the divorce papers weren’t signed, so there was still a chance for Quinn to convince Eric to take her back.

Carter felt that deep down, Eric still loved Quinn. “How could he not?” Carter asked. He was trying to talk about how spellbinding and passionate Quinn was when she cut him off with a kiss.

When they finally broke away, Quinn asked what they were doing. “I’m too old for you,” Quinn said, which caught Carter off guard.

Quinn pointed out that she couldn’t give Carter children or a family, but he insisted he wanted her and planted another kiss.

At the cliff house, FInn held Hayes Forrester Finnegan as Steffy talked about the wedding. She hinted to Hayes about his grandparents and how Finn was keeping them hidden for some reason.

Finn assured Steffy that wasn’t the case and felt that they wouldn’t be hidden for much longer anyway.

Like it or not, Finn’s parents wouldn’t miss his wedding. Steffy wondered if Finn’s parents were really that bad and didn’t get why he was being so secretive.

Finn was sorry for giving Steffy that impression of his parents and admitted there was something she needed to know – something he probably should’ve told her a long time ago.

Steffy worried that Finn was genuinely struggling with something, but he downplayed it.

Finn compared it to when you meet someone and forget their name – then it becomes embarrassing to ask because too much time has passed.

Finn suggested he could’ve told Steffy the first time she asked about his parents, but it seemed awkward to mention it at the time.

Steffy promised she wouldn’t judge and insisted Finn could tell her anything, but they were interrupted by a knock at the door.

When Steffy opened it, Jack Finnegan (Ted King) said she must be Steffy and introduced himself.

“Dad?!” a stunned Finn said nearby. Jack explained that Finn’s mom had to catch a later flight, but he thought he’d come to surprise his son.

Now that Jack had met Steffy, he was eager to meet his grandchild as well.

Finn confessed that he was just about to tell Steffy about their family, so Jack realized Finn had left out something important.

After Finn explained that this doesn’t define him, he suggested it was indeed important because it affected Hayes.

Finn pointed out that Hayes wouldn’t know his family’s medical history on his side and revealed that he was adopted. Jack assured Steffy that they told Finn the truth from an early age.

Finn didn’t know anything about his birth parents, but he admitted he’d like to ask his birth mother why she gave him up. He also thought it’d be cool to thank her one day for giving him such great adoptive parents.

Steffy seemed relieved since the secret wasn’t something horrible and agreed this was important to know for Hayes’ sake.

“But you and your wife, you’re a part of Hayes,” Steffy said to Jack. “You made Finn the man he is.”

Steffy told Finn she loved him so much – no matter where he came from.

As Steffy and Finn hugged, Jack looked pensive and wondered if he should tell them something.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say some exciting developments are still to come now that Jack’s entered the picture.
