The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will cope with the news that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is the father of her unborn child – at least according to the paternity results.
Some test tampering should come to light eventually based on the hints B&B’s offered, but Liam will be the “baby daddy” for now.
What does that mean for Steffy’s future with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan)? Is there a chance Steffy will drift back toward Liam once she’s raising a second kid with him?
In an interview with SOD, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood opened up about where Steffy’s head is at and offered her take on what’s ahead.
For starters, Steffy will be hopeful about finding the right balance between co-parenting with Liam and being romantically involved with Finn. That’s already proven difficult at times through raising Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray), so adding another “Steam” baby to the mix will be even tougher.
Nevertheless, Wood seems confident that Steffy and Finn can find a way to make this work.
In fact, Wood suggested there’s no going back when it comes to Liam and Steffy’s relationship! “Steffy is committed to Finn,” Wood insisted. “She finally hit her point of no return with Liam.”
If Wood is right about that, it’ll be a dream come true for many Steffy fans. It’s obvious Liam will never be able to fully give his heart to Steffy and love her how she needs to be loved. Finn’s the one who’s devoted to Steffy and wants to give her the happy life she deserves.
Of course, we have to acknowledge that B&B writers have a habit of going down the same problematic roads when it comes to love triangles.
It would be wonderful if Steffy was officially done with Liam, but we’ll believe it when we see it on this show! Only time will tell.
Wood admitted she isn’t sure what else The Bold and the Beautiful Head Writer and Executive Producer Bradley Bell has in store. “I don’t know what Brad has planned but whatever it is, I’m up for the challenge,” Wood said.
Wood was on board with the Liam paternity twist since it’s more dramatic and wasn’t the easy way out. The B&B star promised the paternity aftermath will bring some fantastic scenes – including some that are “heartbreaking” and some that are “on fire.”
