The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, May 17, reveals Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) spooked Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) ahead of his date night with Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) – and “Detective” Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) wanted answers! Here’s how it all played out on Monday’s drama-filled show.
At Forrester Creations, Hope checked in with Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) regarding her marriage to Liam. She admitted their reconnection was going well, though it’d take time to get to a place of total forgiveness – and that went for both Liam and Hope.
When Brooke asked what Hope meant, Hope admitted “that night” was still haunting Liam – clearly meaning the night he cheated. At the cabin, Liam took a call from Bill and suggested he couldn’t really talk right now.
Bill asked if Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) was there, which left Liam unsettled.
Liam was just planning a romantic surprise for Hope, but he was suddenly wondering if he had a reason to be concerned about Baker. Bill insisted Liam should forget about Baker and focus on his wife.
He pushed Liam to accept that he deserved good things, but Liam didn’t think so since he killed Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero).
Bill was adamant that Liam had to keep the secret, but Liam cut the call short abruptly and left Bill uneasy. Once Hope returned to the cabin, she learned Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri)) was with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) for the night.
Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) was also having a sleepover with Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis).
Liam pointed out that they’d had a lot of family time since he’d been back home, but he thought it’d be good to have some couple time next. Hope slow danced with Liam and found out he’d made her favorite Italian meal from scratch.
They joked about the cake that might not turn out the greatest before sitting down to eat.
Liam wanted their “first official date night” to be special, so Hope assured him it was. She appreciated all the thought and effort that went into the evening, so Liam admitted he felt the need to be very present with Hope.
Liam suggested it was like the only time they had left, but Hope didn’t want Liam feeling like he had to prove something.
Hope argued that they had their entire lives to love each other and have moments like this one. Liam prayed that Hope was right as their romantic evening continued.
Back with Brooke, she expressed her hope to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that this could be the night that Liam and Hope truly reunited. Brooke was eager to see Hope and Liam reignite the passion in their marriage.
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt found Bill berating someone over the phone. Once Bill disconnected, Wyatt called his dad out for being so testy lately and refused to leave without answers.
Bill eventually suggested he was dealing with things that didn’t concern Wyatt, but that explanation wouldn’t fly.
Wyatt wondered if this was about Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Will Spencer (Finnegan George), but Bill pointed out he hadn’t given up on getting them back. After Wyatt recalled first noticing the bad attitude shift, he realized it was when he found Bill in an argument with Liam.
Wyatt asked Bill if he was stressing out about something Liam-related, but Bill got even more agitated. Although Wyatt denied that this was an interrogation, Bill wanted to know why Wyatt was acting like a detective then.
“I don’t need advice!” Bill shouted on Monday’s B&B episode. However, Bill ultimately softened and admitted that nothing in this world matters more than his boys.
Back at the cabin, Liam sat with Hope on the sofa and insisted he only wanted to bring good things to her life from now on. Hope insisted Liam didn’t have to put so much pressure on himself. “Whatever lies ahead, we’re in this together,” Hope promised.
After Liam talked about how much he’d missed Hope, he leaned in for a passionate kiss. Hope kissed back before Liam confessed this felt right. In fact, Liam thought everything felt right when he was with Hope.
They kissed again even more passionately, so some lovemaking is definitely in Hope and Liam’s future!
