The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) will face a difficult task that adds to her heartache. B&B fans know Hope loves the family she’s built with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), so that’s part of why it was so tough for her to decide on this separation.
Hope had come to think of life with Liam, Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) as their little cabin oasis. The idea of not being a united family will take some getting used to – and that goes for Douglas, too.
Of course, Douglas adores Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and knows exactly who his father is, but Liam has become important to him as a stepdad. There’s still a bond between Liam and Douglas, so there’s going to be some confusion and sadness over Liam not being at the cabin anymore.
Douglas is a smart kid who’s sure to pick up on Hope’s sorrow as well, so there’ll be some tricky questions for Hope to answer during the week of March 29-April 2. It sounds like Hope will have to break the news that Liam won’t be living there anymore.
Hope doesn’t know for sure what’s going to happen after this separation, but she may not want to give Douglas false hope just in case. For now, perhaps Hope will just contend that sometimes grown-ups need time apart to figure things out.
Douglas apparently won’t be satisfied by Hope’s vague answers, so she’ll become emotional and really struggle with this. Thankfully, it seems Thomas will overhear and come to Hope’s rescue.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Thomas will save Hope from having to do this on her own and will back her up on all the love Douglas has surrounding him.
Thomas may point out that Liam will always care about Douglas as well as Beth. There’ll be changes for Douglas to cope with, but he may get reassurance that he can still see Liam. Plus, Douglas can rely on Hope, Thomas and all the other family members in his life.
By the end of this conversation, Douglas should feel a bit better about the situation – and Hope will be blown away by what a good father Thomas has become.
Hope already knew Thomas had made major improvements in that department, but the way he solves this Douglas dilemma will strengthen her view of Thomas as an amazing dad.
This should be the first step toward Hope growing closer to Thomas during this separation, but Brooke won’t approve at all! Look for Brooke to freak out and take steps to make sure Hope’s relationship with Thomas doesn’t go beyond coparenting.
