The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 10, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) looked sick as Jack Finnegan (Ted King) confirmed the birth mom claims – and Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) blurted out a DNA test offer.
At Forrester Creations on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) looked through old photos and told Katie Logan (Heather Tom) that she was planning a surprise to cheer Eric Forrester (John McCook) up after everything that happened with Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer).
When Donna stumbled across a photo of Sheila, Katie and Donna agreed it should go in the reject pile.
There were flashbacks about Sheila’s horrible, violent history as the Logan sisters thought back. Donna and Katie were hopeful that Sheila would stay away since someone like her could never be trusted again.
At the Forrester mansion, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) insisted that Sheila belonged there and wanted her to stay.
Steffy felt there was no reason for Sheila to have contact with her husband, but Finn argued this was a day of celebration for their friends and family.
Steffy insisted that Sheila was neither and wanted her to leave along with everyone else.
Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) wondered what lies Sheila had told Finn to worm her way in there, but Sheila said she wouldn’t lie about something so important.
Steffy told Quinn that he was about to learn some things from the Forresters that were difficult to hear, but she assured her son that these people knew her a lifetime ago.
Finn still didn’t understand and wanted everyone to be happy over his amazing news. He pulled Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) aside to assure her that she’d always be his mom, but he acknowledged the questions he’d always had about his birth parents.
Finn eventually introduced Sheila as his birth mother, but Brooke immediately accused Sheila of lying.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) argued that Sheila must’ve heard Finn was adopted and made up the story.
“What, do you want me to take a DNA test?” a frustrated Sheila asked. Ridge didn’t seem to think that was a bad idea, but Brooke acted like Sheila would find a way to manipulate it anyway.
Finn really didn’t think Sheila was lying, but Li suggested that it was clear this woman had an agenda.
“It’s all a lie! It’s a con!” Steffy shouted. Jack reluctantly piped up that it was true since Sheila had contacted him years ago.
Finn was upset over being kept in the dark, but Jack suggested he never told Li or Finn because he was trying to protect them.
When Jack heard that Finn got involved with Steffy Forrester, he knew the name because of Sheila.
Though he didn’t know all the sordid details, Jack knew there was likely a disturbing connection and was apologetic about not coming clean before now. Jack had just prayed that Sheila wouldn’t show up on Finn’s wedding day.
Steffy slowly realized that it was indeed true – that Sheila was Finn’s mother. The bride looked physically ill over the huge shocker.
“I’m your mother-in-law, Steffy,” Sheila said with a grin before gazing up at Stephanie Forrester’s (Susan Flannery) portrait.
