The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 28, teases that Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) rejected a trip with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) while Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) carried out a secret lab project in her hotel room. Here’s how it all went down on Tuesday’s B&B episode.
After a make-out session at home, Brooke told Ridge that she’d give him a truly epic kiss on New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately, Ridge admitted something came up, so he’d have to leave town on business.
The prince asked the Forresters to dress his whole family, so they’d been working on these gowns for weeks. Brooke protested since they normally just shipped them out, but the prince wanted them to actually be there this time.
Ridge hoped to take Brooke to the gala and show her off, but she opted to stay behind since she wanted to spend New Year’s Eve with the kids as planned.
Brooke also didn’t want to be around all the partying and drinking, but Ridge offered to not drink a drop in solidarity. He liked the idea of a romantic and spontaneous trip, but Brooke just wasn’t on board.
Although Brooke assured Ridge he should go, she wanted to fulfill the promise she’d made to the kids and grandkids. Brooke suggested they’d probably celebrate on New York time for the sake of the little ones.
Ridge decided he’d work it out with the prince so that he could make it back and ring in the new year with Brooke.
Talk turned to Brooke’s run-in with Sheila, who mentioned Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) supporting her visit to the cliff house for Christmas.
Ridge assumed Taylor was trying to evaluate Sheila’s mental health and wasn’t pleased to hear Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) was caught up in the Sheila showdown.
Brooke told Ridge how she took a firm stand against Sheila, especially when it came to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot).
As they circled back to New Year’s Eve, Ridge promised to make it home in plenty of time since he didn’t want Brooke to ring in the new year alone.
At Il Giardino, Sheila refused to let Brooke get in the way of bonding with Finn and Hayes.
Sheila predicted a very festive New Year’s Eve for Brooke and carried out an elaborate plan involving a real bottle of Champagne and the nonalcoholic version.
In her hotel room, Sheila used hot water to get the labels off before drying out the nonalcoholic one and attaching it to the real Champagne bottle.
Sheila remarked on this being a difficult time of year for alcoholics and felt Brooke would never know the difference based on the taste.
At Forrester Creations, Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) told himself how beautiful Paris Buckingham’s (Diamond White) ring was – just like Paris.
Zende wound up interrupting Paris and Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) chat about New Year’s Eve to offer another hint about his big plans.
After dinner at Il Giardino, Zende wanted to take Paris back to his place or hers to ring in the new year – just the two of them. He didn’t want to give away anything else, but he promised the night would be full of surprises.
Carter wondered what that meant once Zende left, so Paris admitted she wasn’t sure.
Although seeing Zende had been great, she wasn’t interested in anything beyond that. Paris was young, free and independent, so she didn’t want some big commitment.
Paris wasn’t implying that Zende was going to propose since it was too soon and he was young as well.
Paris just wanted to keep things casual and asked if that made her a bad person. Carter said of course not, but he felt Paris owed it to Zende to explain how she felt.
Paris agreed since the last thing she wanted to do was hurt Zende. Meanwhile, an oblivious Zende grinned over his upcoming marriage proposal plans.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say New Year’s Eve will indeed be full of surprises, but most of them won’t be pleasant!
