The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 17, teases that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) will shut Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) out, but Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) will understand why. Eric Forrester (John McCook) will also share his dream for the future with Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer), so let’s talk about what’s in store.
Finn hasn’t told Steffy about the text he received from Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) – and he hasn’t mentioned the heart emoji he replied back with either.
Since Steffy has repeatedly pressured Finn to stay away from Sheila, he gets that it’d cause a huge fight if he revealed any of this.
B&B fans know Finn has enough problems trying to make sense of his own feelings toward Sheila right now. He’s not as poisoned against Sheila as the Forrester clan, so he sees the potential for Sheila to have become a better person.
Finn gets that people can be rehabilitated and truly turn over a new leaf in many cases. He’s hoping Sheila’s one of those cases, but he’s uncertain of how any of this can work with the Forresters stuck in raging hatred mode.
Paris has already picked up on Finn’s downcast vibe and wants to lend an ear if he needs her. Finn will soon decide he could indeed stand to get his situation off his chest.
Finn will open up to Paris, who knows what it’s like to have an incarcerated parent as well as complicated feelings toward them.
We can’t forget that Paris’ dad, Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady), was behind the baby switch that robbed Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Annika Noelle) of so much time with their daughter.
The Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) saga is something that Paris has certainly struggled with.
Paris will be able to put herself in Finn’s shoes since she hates what her dad did, but she still cares about him. Finn may not know Sheila yet, but he’ll see the potential to bond with her if she’s genuinely changed.
Of course, Finn can’t really know that unless he gives Sheila a chance to prove herself, but that brings us back to Steffy and the Forresters’ hatred of her.
Paris will completely understand Finn’s tight spot and why he doesn’t want to pile anything else on Steffy at the moment. She’ll agree to keep her mouth shut about the secret texting and leave Finn grateful to have a confidant.
At the Forrester mansion, Eric will spell out what he’s looking for. He’ll paint a picture of repairing the damage with Quinn and being happy in their marriage once again.
Eric already pumped the brakes on signing the divorce papers, so he’ll just need Quinn to say “yes” to staying married and looking to the future.
Eric will be willing to put in the work and will hope Quinn wants to do the same. However, Quinn’s deep connection to Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) will pull her toward him well.
Quinn will be a mess of complex emotions, so she’ll have to consider her options carefully before deciding how to proceed.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Quinn’s going to choose Eric eventually, but Tuesday’s episode, August 19, will be all about her conflicted heart!
