The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 9, reveals that Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) was horrified over the revelation that Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) was the one in Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) bed. Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) also struggled to shake her Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) fears, so here’s what went down on Wednesday’s B&B episode.
At Forrester Creations, Quinn grinned over the way Eric Forrester (John McCook) took charge on a work call and loved seeing him in his element. Eric and Quinn talked about how lucky they were to have each other.
Quinn acknowledged that she betrayed Eric’s trust and made so many mistakes, but she never intended to take their relationship for granted again.
Afterward, Eric looked at a modeling photo of Zoe and thought he could see pain in her eyes. He felt Zoe had been hurt by people she trusted, but Quinn argued that made Zoe’s reunion with Carter even sweeter.
Eric confessed that he was surprised to hear Quinn was trying to help Zoe while her own best friend was sleeping with Carter.
Quinn lied that Shauna didn’t fill her in and probably didn’t want to put her in an awkward position.
Eric pointed out that Carter was a great guy and that anyone would be lucky to have him. He pushed Quinn to agree with him on that, so she did – though she quickly changed the subject to avoid further discomfort.
Meanwhile, Flo Logan (Katrina Bowden) pushed Shauna for confirmation on her Carter hookup, but Paris insisted it was true. Flo just found it ridiculous since Shauna didn’t keep secrets from her, but Shauna lied that she was indeed intimate with Carter.
Shauna insisted it was over and that Paris had nothing to worry about – not from Shauna anyway.
Flo was completely thrown by this information and tried to grill Shauna, but Shauna didn’t want to stick around. She made it clear that it happened when Zoe and Carter were broken up before dashing off.
Shauna found Quinn alone in the main office later and looked irritated. “I lied to my daughter because of you,” Shauna snapped. Quinn nervously hoped Shauna stuck to the story, so Shauna ranted about choosing her best friend over her own daughter.
As for Carter and Zoe, they were both glad to be moving forward. Carter seemed guilty as he looked at a photo of Eric and Quinn on the office wall. Zoe admitted it still hurt that when she was trying to get Carter back, another woman was in his bed.
Carter promised he had zero feelings for Shauna, so Zoe agreed to try and get past this. She just never wanted anyone to come between them again.
Zoe feared that what happened with Shauna was more than a rebound, but Carter argued it wasn’t real and could never be real.
“You have to stop dwelling on this,” Carter said as he raised his voice slightly. He settled back down and once again insisted they had a chance to leave the past behind them.
Zoe had to meet with Paris, but she confirmed plans for a romantic celebration with Carter later and kissed him goodbye. Once Carter was alone, he looked at Quinn and Eric’s photo again before flashing back to some Quinn steaminess.
Zoe joined Paris and talked business before commenting on how happy her sister seemed. Paris was still concerned about Carter hooking up with someone else, but Zoe was trying to move on.
Paris found out Shauna was just there explaining herself to Flo, who struggled to believe her mom slept with Carter.
Zoe wondered why Shauna would lie about something like that, and Paris agreed there was no reason to. She advised Zoe not to worry since Carter wasn’t stupid and knew what he had with Zoe now. Paris left as Zoe stood there looking a bit pensive.
Back with Shauna, she reflected on grabbing Quinn’s jacket and wondered what she was thinking! Quinn argued Shauna was doing what best friends do for each other.
Quinn brought up one summer in Miami when she got a guy to stop messing with Shauna and almost landed in jail for it.
Quinn was so sorry to put Shauna in this position, but she felt Shauna had to keep up the story for as long as it took. She insisted everyone had to keep believing it was Shauna who slept with Carter. Quinn rehashed why she cheated and promised it would never happen again.
As Paris appeared outside the door, Shauna talked about wanting to be the kind of person who didn’t lie to her daughter. Paris eavesdropped as Quinn said Shauna was saving her marriage.
Quinn added that Eric could never know that the woman in Carter’s bed wasn’t Shauna – but his own wife!
Paris was visibly horrified as she overheard the spilled secret. She continued to reel as Shauna promised no one would ever find out Quinn was actually the one who had the affair.
