The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 24, reveals that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) felt it was time to find stability and move forward.
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) hoped that meant moving forward together, but Hope talked about how the future they were working toward had cracks in the foundation.
Hope said she couldn’t do this anymore – not like this. She wanted so badly to look at Liam and not see that night with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Hope wished she could look at her husband and see something besides his betrayal.
Liam argued that if they weren’t moving forward, then it just felt like they were moving backward. He knew their love was worth fighting for and just wanted a chance to prove it. Hope cried and expressed gratitude over Liam fighting so hard.
However, Hope admitted she couldn’t do this any longer. She was tired and needed space as well as time to process everything. Hope insisted she wanted a separation and wasn’t certain of anything else.
Liam talked about everything they went through with Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) and how they’d come out stronger on the other side. He was hopeful this time could be the same way, so Hope suggested she hoped that, too.
Liam asked if that meant Hope wasn’t ready to close the door, but she wasn’t sure. After Liam said he could respect that, he begged Hope not to forget how much they’d overcome.
Liam wanted Hope to remember the good times as well – and she flashed back through a montage of moments with Liam.
Liam felt there could be more moments like those, but Hope told Liam that she loved him and then said goodbye. “For now? Goodbye for now?” Liam said, clearly in panic mode about his marriage crashing and burning.
Hope cried silently in response, so Liam left and looked overwhelmed as he paused outside.
At Forrester Creations on Wednesday’s Bold and the Beautiful episode, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) told Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that he knew he wouldn’t be with Hope and had made peace with that.
Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) overheard and entered the room to say she was glad to hear it.
After Brooke said Hope seemingly made a decision about her marriage, Thomas found out that Hope and Liam were at the cabin now. Ridge worried Thomas would go over there, but Thomas suggested he was just concerned about Hope. He insisted that he’d support Hope no matter what.
Once Thomas left on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Ridge acknowledged the progress his son had made. Brooke said it “seems so” and added that she was a little jealous of Thomas’ completely supportive stance.
Brooke told Hope it was her call, but she really hoped her daughter wouldn’t give up. “She can’t. She has to forgive Liam,” Brooke declared.
Brooke felt like Hope’s pain might cloud her judgment, but she wanted Hope to keep her family intact. As for Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) at Spencer Publications, he was deep in thought when Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) entered.
Bill confessed that he was worried about Liam and blamed most of his son’s issues on “that twisted freak Thomas and his love affair with a mannequin.” After Bill acknowledged that Liam had betrayed Hope, he suggested that Liam didn’t deserve to lose his marriage.
Wyatt had hoped Liam would work things out with his wife, but then he shifted to acting like they’d be fine either way. Bill ranted at Wyatt the flip-flopper and thought Wyatt should make up his mind whether the glass was half-full or half-empty.
Wyatt repeated that Hope and Liam would be fine either way – not that it could go any other way than forgiveness. He assured Bill that Liam and Hope had overcome too much to give up over some horrible misunderstanding.
