The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) could be a big reason why Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) decides to fight for his son. At the moment, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is keeping the news that he has a little boy under wraps.
Summer Newman (Hunter King) is in the loop on Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) claims that Harrison Locke belongs to Kyle, but Abby is still in the dark. However, that could change and leave Abby looking to give out some advice.
Y&R seemed to be inserting Abby in the Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) drama by having her observe Ashland, Tara and Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) interaction.
Abby stared at the three of them in the lounge area of Society recently, which led to an intrigued look. It appears Abby’s curious about the Lockes, so that could be important.
Abby also randomly told Kyle to “put a ring on it” with Summer, which was strange for a couple reasons. For starters, it was just weird for Abby to push Kyle to get engaged.
It was out of the blue and worth pondering for that reason alone. There’s also the fact that Abby and Summer haven’t really gotten along in the past, so this was a shift in a positive direction.
It feels like Abby’s being forced into Kyle and Abby’s situation somehow, so we have to mull over her own storyline. Abby desperately wants to be a mom! That seems like a great reason to put Abby in Kyle’s orbit more and have her interested in what’s up with Ashland.
The stage is set for Abby to find out about Harrison Locke being Kyle’s son.
Naturally, Abby might find out when the rest of the world does if this blows up into a major scandal. There’s also the potential for Abby to overhear something or even be on the receiving end of Kyle or Summer’s confession.
Regardless, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby’s fighting hard to be a mother and that may tie in with Kyle’s story.
Perhaps Abby will ultimately push Kyle to stop taking his child for granted. Abby would love to be having Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) baby the good old-fashioned way, but she’s having to explore the surrogacy route with a donor instead.
We’re seeing Abby do whatever it takes to make sure she’s a mom, so parenthood is a powerful thing that really matters to her.
Likewise, Abby may think Kyle has to do whatever it takes to be a dad to his son. Harrison is an Abbott just like Abby and Kyle are. Abby will no doubt feel like Kyle’s going to regret it if he doesn’t fight for Harrison.
It took a toll when Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) abandoned her family, so Abby won’t want to see Kyle make the mistake of ignoring his child.
Jack should take a similar stance once he discovers the truth, so Kyle will have some good reasons to change his mind about serving as Harrison’s true daddy! We’ll offer updates as other Y&R details emerge.
