The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will face some summer temptation that could spell trouble. Y&R fans know Adam had an epiphany after that powerful chess dream in the hospital. Adam knew he had to let Sharon go and stop using her as a crutch.
It led to what almost felt like a farewell between them – like they were truly giving up on what might’ve been. However, it turns out that attitude could be short-lived for Adam. Saying he’s letting Sharon go and actually doing it are two very different things.
Adam isn’t actively pursuing Sharon – and he’s genuinely trying to root for her marriage to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). All Adam wants to do right now is focus on his business venture with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and perhaps try to repair some family bonds, too.
Adam feels like it’s best to move on from Sharon and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) under the circumstances, but his heart will still yearn for Sharon in some ways.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say both Adam and Sharon will struggle with their attraction to each other this summer.
Of course, that doesn’t mean Sharon and Adam will necessarily act on it. Feeling attracted to someone isn’t the same as doing something about it.
For whatever reason, the writers just love to tease the steamy potential of “Shadam” and never really go anywhere with it. That could be the case this time as well.
However, there’s also a chance this could be the time it actually sticks. Adam is no longer obsessed with Sharon, so it’d be a healthier version of this pairing if they went there again.
It’s hard to believe Sharon and Rey are a couple that’s truly going to grow old together. They just don’t have much pizazz going on, so maybe this reconciliation with Rey is just a setup for “Shadam” to happen for real.
All the Sharon and Adam fans out there will certainly hold out hope! Regardless, Chelsea will be scheming against Sharon and Rey’s marriage as well, so things may not be on solid ground for long.
There’ll be more Adam-related obstacles for Sharon, so we’ll see if she cheats on Rey or if she’s able to fight that persistent attraction to her ex.
